Hayfield Football Coach Fired

Anonymous
So anything out of the Boatd meeting that changes anything? That is something new or different from what already known/planned?

They wanted the Madison vs Oscar Smith/Colonial Forge matchup, not Hayfield.

Is this the new way of making false claims of racism? How cute.

This is a great question! You would think that they would be asked not to participate until the investigation is complete. In fairness, all football players that were not in the hayfield district last school year should not be allowed to participate in any sport until he externally investigated is complete.

That's right! Guilty until proven innocent!

Your reading comprehension skills are complete trash if that was your takeaway from the OPs comment.

That’s what it was for the playoffs.

No intelligent person thinks this.

If he dropped all the talent collection he would be able to prove it to everyone. Currently all anyone sees is an all star team put together from youth football. Hayfield was a great opportunity for him because they do have some talent there. If he would have been patient and worked with what was in the building he could have built a consistent Region title contender and if the stars align a state championship. He had no willingness to try that path.

Yeah, you're wrong. He's never proven he can coach. His offensive play calling is pedestrian at best. Also, no one sees an all-star team put together from youth football. They see a collection of illegally recruited players, many of whom he'd never coached before, brought to Hayfield, in many cases possibly so by violating the law. Your last sentence is right though, so there is that. Sweet comment man.

No elite coach wants a team that doesn’t have talent. If you follow competitive amateur sports, you will have seen lots of good coaches quit when they can’t get talent.

Show us these elite amateur coaches who quit when they can't get talent. If you said it, you must a number of them in mind. Therefore, it should be easy to provide names and even records by season. The burden of proof is on you. Otherwise, your statement is like so many others, just a distraction and an attempt at obfuscation.

So many people who know nothing about sports commenting. I can now see why there is almost 400 pages of bs.

You were obviously looking in a mirror as you typed your comment. It is pure projection.

Anonymous wrote:People here posted that WTOP seems to print more pro-FCPS. I am confused by Chad Ricardo/Fox5. He is said to have early on used Overton as his single source to say that VHSL had not sent a sanction letter to Hayfield (which was wrong). He later was mostly silent as Fairfax Times was posting texts, etc. but I just saw on Nov 15 he posted on his X: “If the glove don’t fit you must acquit.” Presumably after court said Hayfield could play. He used OJ as a comparison??? He then now has a 1:1 with Dunne. Is he trying to look more neutral now? Whatever the case….compare to OJ???

Well OJ didn’t do it and they didn’t prove Hayfield did it either. That all the man was saying.

OJ did in fact, do it.

The man who broke the case pleaded the 5th when asked if he planted evidence. That should’ve been all anyone ever needed to hear about that case.

The Hayfield case has some questionable texts from the AD and people want to convict Overton. He didn’t text anyone.

I am impressed you are able to keep breathing with your head buried so deeply in the sand.

Anonymous wrote:They forced the guy who sent the texts to resign. He’s gone and Hayfield withdrew. That seems like enough punishment to me.

So "enough punishment" to you is, in fact, letting people off the hook who also were also involved? I genuinely hope you don't have children or aren't responsible for taking care of children. That said, part of me suspects you do/are and that is what got Hayfield in this mess in the first place.

Several of the "transfers" just took basketball roster spots from returning hayfield players. Basketball teams are small. It seems unfair this is being allowd to happen when VHSL and FCPS determined the players were recruited in violation of the rules--and VHSL also pointed out fcps residency checks were not done correctly.

Seems as though the focus was on boundary changes…

Sounds like VHSL is going to have to step in again. This principal is just flipping the bird to everyone, including families inside his own school.

You can’t believe what you just typed can you. How can a person with “pedestrian” as you call it playcallling avg over 45 a game. Then you say they are first year players from wherever that he’s brought in, so again he can do this with KIDS that’s he’s nvr coached before being them all together, put in whatever calls he’s going to use and be able to get the production he’s gotten. Make it make sense. Your football accumen is clearly lacking so please just stop. You must of been one of the coaches that’s been beaten by over 40, lol
