I agree. Barring anything disqualifying turning up, she's my no. 1. |
+ a million. Only some clueless whites care about her. |

At the very least. Notice how few people voted for Harris when given the chance. |
Notice that she dropped out before anyone voted and she took her name off ballots. |
Harris was targeted by ADOS, a MAGA movement; by Russian bots; and by Tulsi Gabbard, who seems to have been in the primary for just that purpose. I wonder why.... |
Harris couldn't figure out what kind of candidate she wanted to be. Her messaging was all over the place, and she did not come across as authentic. Her debate performances were sub-par. I think she has a lot of potential but ran too soon, needs more time in the Senate. |
She would make an excellent VP!!! #maga |
She certainly made mistakes, and perhaps one of them was thinking that there was room for a woman to follow the Obama model of running for President your first term in the Senate. Only men get to do that. (See, e.g., Mayor Pete.) Still, it is striking that the agitprop against Kamala went silent for awhile and immediately reared up again today. |
I think this is true. I was most excited about her when she decided to run but she didn't contribute much substantive to the discourse. I still have no idea what she stands for. |
I absolutely agree all the women had to deal with sexism, add racism to boot and that's tough to overcome. Still, there's no denying Obama's intellectual agility and excellent speaking ability. Mayor Pete has that too. They both absorb new information well and have a knack for responding quickly and (seemingly) easily to difficult topics. Harris seemed over prepared yet flatfooted in debates. She might turn out to be an excellent legislator, but she's not a great salesperson for her positions. At least not yet. |
Harris only used her Senate seat as a stepping stone to the Presidency. She never even bothered to set up a fully-functioning Senate office. Frankly, she’s ripe for a primary challenge in 2022. |
+1 CA deserves to have a Latina as Senator. |
He'll pick I'm Rourke or someone like him, a younger white male.
The party has made it clear they don't want women or anything non white, straight, and male in the forefront right now, and America seems to support that. 2024 or 2028 might be different, whenever the millineals become the base. For now any talk of a female VP is just pandering and trying to drive up ratings. Harris and other women will get seats in the administration. |
Good article in the WaPo on possible Biden VP picks.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/why-bidens-vp-pick-is-so-important/2020/03/08/81c22fb2-5fe3-11ea-9055-5fa12981bbbf_story.html They pretty much follow DCUM's train of thought but an interesting name from the article is ... "Michelle Lujan Grisham was elected governor of New Mexico in 2018, and she knows Washington, too, having served three terms in the House. She is the first Democratic Latina to be elected as a governor, and she is a 12th-generation New Mexican from a storied political family. On the other hand, outside New Mexico she is not a household name." |
