But we still not sure if we should shell the $$$ to appeal. He is a very bright kid but our school is known for holding back bring kids to keep the school scores up, this is a story from many parents in the school. His teacher is new to the school system and she did her best to advocate for him. I found out the school did not include one page from his report card in the file where his teacher wrote a very high and well report about my son and his critical thinking abilities especially in math and science which he is very strong at . I am just wondering with his scores we have a chance to appeal or not..... I have emails from his teacher telling me examples of his leadership and gifted behavior one some days while at school, should I include that? again, thanks for all the input..
Unfortunately - cogat of 129 and GBRS 10 is not seen as a great score

If you think yr child's needs are not met by G.Ed, please invest the $ and get the WISC and appeal. My son's teacher hasnt helped much either. When I asked for the screening file, I got only the GBRS sheet back...so really not sure what was sent for my son. Its all so convoluted and very cloogy. But - hey - We are not giving up yet
