Virginia referendum - if you hate MAGA, vote YES (even if your mailing says to vote 'No')

Then if someone doesn't agree, well, they will certainly tell you why "you" are wrong. Trump isn't going to be president forever. This amendment while being proposed as temporary, has the potential to say indefinitely. I for one am going to consider it staying indefinitely because right now, both sides of the political spectrum are lying. I don't have confidence in any political party. I am voting for what is right for the people of VA, and only VA. As a common sense individual, I find it crazy how divided we have become as a society and our intolerance for other people's opinions. We really need to stop looking at politics as a game and what side is going to win and knocking opponents out. We need to think of society if the politicians won't.

I agree that the only way to restore sanity to our politics and our country, and to make us united again, is to get the MAGAs out of power by voting YES on the amendment.

Pssst. Just a heads up. You are who PP is talking about. You’re part of the problem.

Pssst. Just a heads up. This isn't a "both sides" problem. So if we want unity, we need to start by getting rid of the people who caused us to become so divided. I'm a Republican, and I see this very clearly, so I'll be voting YES.

+1. Same here. The MAGAs are not limited-government Republicans; they are charlatans who just want to enrich themselves even if it means starting wars, exploding our debt, and being unnecessarily combative with Democrats. They caused our extreme divisiveness, and there's no way we can reduce that divisiveness without getting them out of power. I'm sad that this is what my Republican party has become, and so I am definitely voting yes.

The democrats know this is not at all fair. Otherwise they would not have an issue with the proposed map being available at the polling places.

I don’t think a lot of Virginians want potentially 5 congress members living within 12 miles of each other in northern VA.

It’s a “no” vote for me too, based on everything you said

It is temporary. New legislation would need to be passed beyond the next planned redistricting.

Of course MAGAs will misrepresent this.

Federal income taxes were supposed to be temporary too. Fool me once..

You were around for that?

It’s temporary. Period.

The people saying it’s temporary are the same ones telling us it’s about “restoring fairness”. The deception behind it is shocking.

The people voting no are the ones who are okay with bombing schools full of children, threatening to end civilizations and mocking religion. We see exactly who you are.

Thank you DNC bot. Kamala thinking of running again huh.

Trump is doing what has needed to be done for a long time but like the Barbary pirates, no one had the guts to do the needful.

Thank you for making very clear where you stand. Ironic that you call others evil. Makes it very clear why voting yes for redistricting is so important.

Exactly.

Nutjobs like the PP doesn’t deserve a voice.

F MAGA and all of their depravity.

When evil is confronted and fought back against, evil and its supporters view the opposing force (Trump) as evil.

Thank you for giving more evidence that a significant portion of the Democratic party is evil and supports our enemies.

This is a nutso post.

It’s really not psychological warfare when nobody believes you will do anything and in fact you don’t do anything.

I mean…the Iranians are cheering in the streets that they won…which to much of the world it looks too.
The talks are breaking down. After Trump begins the real bombing, we will see if they cheer in the rubble.

Sure…in the meantime they are selling 50% more oil at double the prices vs before the war.

It’s why all the headlines are “L for victory”.

Oh…and because the war is going so badly, China has decided to provide Iran missiles and other military equipment.

Here's a clue for you. The SENATE NOT THE HOUSE declares war. They have to pass bills. The House is not going to change anything.

The only thing that the Rs in the Senate do is bend over and let Trump do whatever he wants.

Congress needs to offer resistance to Trump, not just roll over and acquiesce. Trump and the Rs need to get the message that there will be consequences for their actions, like losing the midterms. Trump has completely gone off the rails and without action things will get worse.

Need receipts?

Bombing “ U.S. at Fault in Strike on School in Iran, Preliminary Inquiry Says
Outdated targeting data may have resulted in a mistaken missile strike, according to the ongoing military investigation, which undercuts President Trump’s assertion that Iran could be to blame.” 175 people, mostly children

“A whole civilization will die tonight…” https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/trump-says-a-whole-civilization-will-die-tonight-if-iran-does-not-make-deal-2026-04-07/

Trump: "Open the F*ckin’ Strait, you crazy b*stards, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah."

This is why people look at you in disbelief when you support Republicans.

Here's a clue for you. The SENATE NOT THE HOUSE declares war. They have to pass bills. The House is not going to change anything.

Congress needs to offer resistance to Trump, not just roll over and acquiesce. Trump and the Rs need to get the message that there will be consequences for their actions, like losing the midterms. Trump has completely gone off the rails and without action things will get worse.

Do you not understand how the Senate works and that only 1/3 run every 2 years? The VA Senators are both D. The whole state votes.

Do you understand the House’s role in carrying out oversight?
