Have a bad feeling about this huge guy, could be another Natalie Holloway.

Claiming she was not seen out of water and that she was, which is it? If he saw her after the water, where is she?!!!

Well, her "friends" aren't much better.

We need to do a better job teaching kids how to identify who your friends are and how to be better friends. I feel terrible for this family. Tragic.

Who are you to judge that?

Well, let's see...They hadn't seen their friend since around 4:00 a.m. and didn't know where she was in a foreign country but thought they'd just go on a day trip?!

How were they going to reach her if 1. She didn't have her phone on her, 2. Or they tried reaching her but she didn't pick up maybe because they thought she was still sleeping or with that guy? 3. Things werent known at time of them going on a day trip? Didn't read all the reports to know if any of those questions were answered.

At least tell the front desk.

Ok, she went swimming at 5:30am. Left her clothes and phone on a lounger as one does to go swimming. In no way was she informing the front desk. She is an adult. Having fun, with a new friend on spring break.

Her friends should have told the front desk before going anywhere.

She had her friends take the phone, supposedly so it would show as hotel on Find My Phone.

Day trip? Source of that info? or an online/print gossip?

Daily Mail article from today linked slightly upthread is source of excursion info.

And Daily mail = source to trust?
Just checking.

Have they focused on her life before this trip as a possible lead to what may have happened if body doesn't turn up on shore and other possibilities were ruled out?

This lists out all in the group that night.

Where do you think the women were all day? Why do you think they did not notice she was missing until late afternoon. Find your own sources and share with the class.

+1 seriously!

She didn’t seem to be walking well leaving the hotel. Shame her friends did not stay with her.

Obviously, no one in the world is going to care about her disappearance, nor will anybody cover the story in the media.

Unfortunately, this is true.
Blonde, blue-eyed get the most media attention.
And are also the salient features of girls and women who are kidnapped.

Why are you guys doubling down on this life? It’s all over the news.

Also, but who freaking cares? Oh no, my daughter wasn’t as prominently featured in tragedy porn as some other girl!

It doesn’t matter. The entire country dwelling on it for months like Holloway will make pretty much the same difference for this girl as it did for Holloway.

Please just teach your daughters to stick together at all times when traveling or out at the club.

It seems like she probably drowned, sadly, but I just saw the video of her leaving the hotel and I’d I were her parents I would want a real careful look at that guy-creepy vibes for sure.

This. We taught our daughter the girl code, leave no girl behind, and taught our son to look out for guys cornering girls, offer to walk girls home from a party on campus of they appear intoxicated, etc., to watch out for them as if they were his sister.

The video quality is not great but when he comes back, without his shirt, does he have scratches on his shoulder?

Seems to just be calmly strolling along for someone who just, as he initially claimed, saw someone drown.

Another story was when he saw her she was walking toward her clothes, but her beach cover up / long t shirt was still on the beach on a lounge chair. So how was it still there when he woke up? If he thought she drowned, why didn’t he alert someone?

His stories contradict and make no sense, it’s suspicious. He seems to be recording them on the phone or taking selfies in the hotel video, I hope the FBI has gotten a look at it to see what else may be on there.

Curious if he has any DV history or is known to be an angry drunk, being from such a tiny town seems a rep would be known.

At least tell the front desk.

They did eventually inform hotel front desk, didn't they? When they realized she wasn't around and they hadn't heard from her. If they shared a room, maybe they saw her phone still in her room but not her?

You're just as naive as these girls were thinking these world countries are safe.

I think DR authorities are trying not to spook him so he stays there while they investigate. Sounds like Loudon is a bit more direct.
