The definition of pedophilia is attraction to prepubescent children. So no, it doesn’t.

And this is where I get off the anti-dress code train.

Sorry, not interested in what you're selling.

Which is what, exactly?
I’m merely pointing out that people are completely throwing around a using an incorrect term. That really weakens their position.

When guys start explaining they're not pedos because they only like post-pubescent children, its' time to leave the party. Sorry. Everyone should wear a bathrobe in the water if it's people like you hanging around the community pool. Ew.

I’m a woman. I am the PP. And pedophilia has an actual definition. That is being used incorrectly here. Sorry that bothers you. Didn’t your idol say “words matter”?

Sorry you're sexually attracted to minors. Therapy will still be helpful for you.

Do you prefer we rephrase to "sexual attraction to minors"?

Sexual attraction to a 16 year old who is fully developed and physically ready and able to bear children is 100% different than pedophilia. Just to be clear.

+100. The stupidity and prudishness (does that make it “stuprudity”?) here is hilarious.

If a girl who knows she’s attractive makes a decision to wear a swimsuit that she knows will show off her ….assets …. then she knows exactly what she’s doing and everyone is absolved to get as much of an eyeful as they want. Age irrespective, she’s making an adult decision to have people view her in an adult way. Not even a teeny tiny bit guilty about looking.

I remember when we first started going to the pool my brothers were all eyes because it was such a shock. However, within a month, they were no longer even looking. It became just part of the background and common place. So while you are shuttering and looking at these thong bathing suits, your kids will stop even noticing the next two weeks.

Uh, yeah, they were still looking.

It's a biological response. Maybe they got better at being so obvious, but if you think men in Germany don't ogle topless women, I've got some schnitzel to sell you.

And if you don't want your daughters being surrounded by amoral tiktok influencers who don't give a damn if anyone ogles them? Maybe the strippers should go to the adult-themed pool parties and leave the children's pools alone.

16 year olds are not making adult decisions. It is well established that teen brains aren’t developed until later. She is making an adolescent decision or teen decision and isn’t asking for creepy adults to sexualize her.

So, it's the parent's job to enforce a dress code?

Not to muddle things, but babies running around naked?

Not from the sex point of view, but I think it's gross and should NOT be allowed.

Sure, they can try if they want to.

Agree, if you are so outraged at teen butt cheeks for your kids then penis’s and vaginas of any age must also be outrageous for your children.

I feel like there's a difference between body positivity and people you don't know using shared public space to flaunt their sexual interests. Just wear a normal bathing suit, for goddsake.

Oh please. She’s making a decision that any fully developed female would make - either 16 or 30. 16 is absolutely old enough to know what you’re doing in terms of dress. She is 100% aware that she is dressing so that men will look.
