Does your community pool have a dress code?

I’m at our local pool and the thong bikini bottoms on the girls home from college are ridiculous. It’s attire that’s suitable for Rio or Cancun but totally out of place in a family venue.

No and all the teen and college girls show up in cheeky bottoms. It is what it is I guess.

OP,

I guess you don't live here in Hawaii? That's all there is these past 20-some years. All of Hawaii is family-oriented. And it's all strings.

That sounds reprehensible.

Which pool is this? And are they there mostly on weekends or weekdays too?

Why? You see an extra 1” of skin vs a regular bikini bottom. It’s not like going from a burkini to a thong… you’re already seeing women 98% naked anyways. I don’t understand the angst.
Anonymous
Nope. Stop ogling women’s bodies, OP.

I think it’s gross but they do it at our pool too. The lifeguards on the swim team have “ racing swimsuits” which seems to mean less butt coverage then ever.

guy here - thank god for dark sunglasses!

It’s a lot. I swear half the reason my preteen has decided they’re nonbinary is because they have no desire to dress like typical girls and is fairly horrified. Short shorts, crop tops, and cheeky bathing suits appall her. Since hitting puberty at age 10 she would rather cover it all up.

I try to remind myself it’s so great these kids have such body confidence - but I also find the suits distracting. And I’m not sexualizing anybody - just noticing the girls are nearly naked.

Funny how the men aren’t wearing banana hammocks with their checks hanging out.

Why would you think someone posting on a DC message board forum would live in Hawaii?

Pleas, someone call the morality police. Men can't control themselves without their help.

Because the Internet?

The moms who lead the in-crowd at our pool all did ozempic (or the like) together and are rail thin now. Several are wearing very cheeky bikinis this season. Honestly I’d rather a 20- something wear it than a 45 year old pretending to be 20.
