They’re both being exposed for a sexual thrill. There is no functional difference. Breasts are neither genitals nor muscle but it generally not acceptable for a woman to walk around topless at an American public pool. |
What would outrage you? Anything you don't think should be allowed at children's pools? |
Give her a few more posts. |
According to DC law, it's completely legal and acceptable. |
I mean, she is constantly talking about seeing the outline of a penis in a thread about thongs. I'm sure someone here can make a Freudian diagnosis of all her issues. |
This thread isn't called "Does your legal jurisdiction have a legal prohibition against topless bathing?". |
Because one is illegal and the other is a sartorial choice you disapprove of? (which is your right, of course). Your first paragraph assumes a lot of things that aren't universally true (e.g., many people don't feel victimized or even scandalized by a smaller than average bikini). We as society are not okay with people exposing their genitals in public, which is why it's illegal. We as a society are, generally, okay with smaller than average bikinis, so people are free to wear them. I mean, if some chick walking by you in a thong elicits the same response from you as some dude waving his dick around at the pool? It seems like you have a real problem with perspective. I grew up in South Florida, where thongs on women were common, and thongs on men were rare, but not unheard of. Children at the beach saw them all the time, and nobody was traumatized. But, if some dude exposed himself to people, he'd likely end up handcuffed in the back of a cop car. |

Thongs =/= see through swim suits
Thongs = appropriate swim wear Why is this thread still going |
There is no double standard. Both things are illegal, so both things are already banned at your local public pool. |
Too long, just tell us whether you support a dress code. |
You're either profoundly stupid or a troll. Or both. |
So why bother stating your opinion like a fact, if it is, not in fact, a fact? Male and female toplessness is legal and allowed. Male and female bottom-less is not. |
What kind of Karen would call the police on someone for their swimsuit? Get a grip, dude! |
Have you ever called the police on someone for their swimsuit? Is it maybe time to get some help |
Apparently the person equating wearing a thong to f#cking in the shallow end of a pool would. Blame them. |
