Unsurprising. Wacko judge will probably arrest them for human trafficking by moving embryos across state lines.

I never thought of this but is a real possibility.

It was obvious IVF would be seriously impacted by the destruction of Roe. Anyone caught off guard was not paying attention at all.

This election.... understand the enormous risks of this unwelcome interference into people fertility decisions and vote accordingly.

I doubt it. Too many voters are apathetic.

When you come after people's children and grandchildren, voters get motivated.

Exactly this. The IVF ruling and the overturn of Roe are all related, all part and parcel of the same thing. Some Republicans are trying to backpedal but they are the ones who brought us to this and they all need to be held accountable. Every last Republican.

+1. Tha Catholic Church might be against IVF and IUI but Catholics use those procedures all the same. I know of a couple conservative Catholic families that have grandchildren only due to IVF and you can bet they will disagree with this judge.

Of course they do. But what they need to is vote that way and teach their IVF children to do the same. Hope these IVF families do not vote for the party that is responsible for the threat to their very existance.

And men need very much to be included in this issue and this fight. The reproductive decisions of many men are impacted by these restrictions on fertility treatments.

They don't care once they've already done it or know they can pay and do it again if necessary. All about pulling up the ladder with these people.

We all have agency and the ability to explain this to people. You sound apathetic. If you are concerned about a trump win, then do something about it. Plenty of ways to participate beyond writing on an anonymous board.

I’ve drilled into my 18 and 20 yo sons that they and their friends are seriously affected by these policies. Way more so than we were. GenX parents.

Even if you don’t have or want kids or are abstinent. Lack of access to abortion negatively affects our economy and crime rates. It matters.

Just more proof on the mountain of evidence that anti abortion people don’t think beyond “BaBieS!”

Yep, this! And birth control is next. The people who view fertilized eggs as people — or at least those who vote that way, will also, absent any supporting actual evidence, view many methods of birth control as murdering those tiny little “people”.
So, better get rid of birth control — just in case.
