Look, we are different here in TN. Unwritten rule in Nashville is you don’t use your car horn. This bullhorn thing is unacceptable to so many.

Wasn’t the white representative also on video? If there was a cool headed rational reason then why were only the two black members expelled?

They took over the speaking from the person who was speaking. They pulled out a bullhorn and screamed at the crowd to rev them up. The woman stood there with them in support. She did not scream.

They brought in the bullhorn because they were being denied regular due process to speak and propose legislation.

No, they weren't and never were.

I reluctantly support the expulsion. Because they were blocking the legislative body. It's no different from what the protesters were doing on J6. There is a time and venue for protest, but protest does not mean you stop other people from executing their legislative duties.

Stop the lying.

Did these protesters smash windows, kick down doors, clash with police and throw fire extinguishers at their heads, cause any bodily injury (like losing fingers and an eye, which happened to Capitol police), threaten to hang a high official, try to overturn an election, cause millions in damage to a historic building? Yes or no?

The answer is no. And so no, it is not the same as the J6 mob. There’s a chasm of difference between the two.

Ehh, that's just hyperbole. The end result is the same. Both groups wanted to overthrow the house.

False. TN legislators didn't want to "overthrow" anything, they wanted to be heard and wanted floor debate and consideration of sensible gun proposals. Nothing more. Republicans denied them, so they escalated.

+1

When is it a good time? When will Republicans even allow debate? How many kids have to die before they do?

If you dont agree with some particular policy then you need to obtain the votes necessary to change it. Rather than barking through bull horns when you clearly dont have them. Unless you support rule by violence or intimidation tactics

You understand that the votes aren't there because of gerrymandering, right?

The state of TN went for trump by 20++ percent- I want to say 24 from memory.

You think republicans have a majority in the state house because of gerrymandering?

So where is the expulsion of the House and Senate GOP who aided in the J6 insurrection?

The PP would say that’s different, that’s freedom of speech.

There’s always an excuse for the GOP bad behavior isn’t bad.

Republicans need to stop watching Fox News and all their made up lies. Why are Republicans ok with all of the shootings in the US?

I don't think they are. What they are against is most of the solutions that get floated.

They refuse to acknowledge that there are many proposals and solutions that would be much better than anything the Republicans are proposing.

And who would that be? The last I knew there is no evidence of this and it has been looked at repeatedly. What there is is MSNBC talking points.

No. They get people want to do stuff and they don't like the solutions. Republicans are not proposing anything so the second part of your statement does not make sense.

No, but they do have a supermajority because of it.

There is a world where you could get the following done: enhanced background checks; more money for mental health services; comprehensive federal law on gun removal from unstable people; ban on large magazines. But that is not the world we live in now. Maybe it will be after the next election.

gerrymandering is making political decisions. There is nothing wrong with it.

Leftists are going after Jeremy Faison's children. Daughter's boyfriend who is black, is getting lots of hate posts, as is Faison's adopted son, who is brown.

Racists!

A Tennessee legislator. He’s also famous for trying to pull down the pants of a basketball referee he was mad at.

So he should be expelled and likely wouldn't be replaced by the people who he doesn't actually represent.

You think millions in dollars of damage and the loss of an eye and several fingers is hyperbole? Would you dare to tell that in person to the officers who were maimed?

I posted a few pages ago of the legislation the Republicans have either passed or are considering when it comes to school safety.
Look back and have a gander. Yes - they are passing legislation.

They have a majority, but not a super majority. That is what is gerrymandered.
