The Trump women and their fashion mishaps thread

Though.. I'm her age and my neck isn't like this. My face isn't like hers either so there isn't the contrast, but I still don't have a weird neck.
So.. no idea!

I wondered the same thing. Someone else said maybe it is a goiter.

Look at these - pure Ivana:

I noticed it with her lips, which are growing in size. If you look at old photos of Ivanka, you can see that her lips are growing bigger over time. This makes her look like her mother...

FWIW - I totally agree with you. The comments are mean and petty.
And, they show a pretty unhealthy obsession with the Trump family.

Yes, total nastiness. I've seen a few outfits that I don't like on her, the two tone trench coat is one but overall Ivanka has a beautiful figure and makes bad clothes looks good.
I suspect there would be issues if you posted pictures of yourselves here too....like a wrinkle on a pair of pants, a wrinkle in your bra, an uneven hem here and there.
The poster who is fixated on Ivanka's bust line has issues.

Obviously, many of us disagree. Feel free to move along as this thread really isn't for you.

I'm really confused by the "Ivanka makes bad clothes look good" poster. A lot of this thread is focused on commenting that the clothes themselves are just bad. (There's also recurring themes of "clothes okay, but poorly tailored" or "clothes okay, but combined with something that doesn't work together."). If you think she keeps picking bad clothes, doesn't that fit with the overall theme of "fashion mishaps"?
I agree there's some unnecessary roughness (like whatever is going on with her neck -- just leave it alone, folks), but for the most part this thread will give her credit where she looks good (see Halloween trench comments) and excoriates her when she gets it wrong (see thru shirts showing nipples with weird floral placements). But that's fashion -- should everyone just sit back and say everything looks nice? Are we now in a place where there is no room for aesthetic commentary on fashion or art, because everything is equally good?
Again, note that this thread only exists because they hold themelsves out as fashion icons

I think those pp's who just barged in should be required to go back to the beginning and explain how every transparent skirt/top, gaping buttonhole, bosom-clutching vine, etc constitutes an amazing fashion choice.

Not so sure about this. She always had good lips naturally and no wonder, since both of her parents have much more than a thin line. I think she got more focused on her nose and especially chin and cheekbones; they were pretty bad, but with a lot of help she ended up looking attractive, to the extent.

So... what happened here? I think the surgeries should have stopped right here. Is that possible? Or did she get addicted to surgery?

If she did have thyroid surgery, I would feel badly about all the neck comments. Wasn't she wearing a lot of scarves for awhile. And, even here it does look like something might have happened?

But, I feel this dress was under attended to. Why didn't someone help her find a something that was both appropriate for the culture but also not clownish?

The dress is waaaaay too big for her. The sleeves and overall length are waaaay too long. It's unfortunate because it's beautiful - although she'd look better in something with more color. It kinda washes her out.

Seriously. When it’s high beams at the UN, Houston, we have a problem.

I do like this black outfit but wish the pants were just a bit longer and not so 'skinny'. Still, it looks good on her and has Morocco cultural references.

At first, I didn't like the cape outfilt but, on second look, think it may have looked much better in person than in photographs. The needlework is likely gorgeous when you can see it and the olive green skirt is an excellent color and, again, the outfit seems influenced by Morocco.

Her palette this trip seems far more classic and beautiful. I wonder who's dressing her?

Except women in Morocco don’t wear these things.

The top outfit looks like something for a male Russian folk dancer:

In the second she looks like a Moroccan water fountain.

I didn't say Moroccan women wear what Ivanka has on. I said there were Moroccan influences. Clearly, you've never been anywhere near Morocco if you think it looks Russian or like the water fountain you posted. I'm no Ivanka fan but what she's wearing is some of the best I've seen her in.

I actually have been to Morocco, which I knew she looked like a water fountain. Plus one poster did a spit take, so I stand by my initial assessment.

Her outfit choices actually illustrate an problem that both she and Melania have—they interpret occasions VERY literally. When Ivanka went to Japan, she wore weirdly Japanese inspired outfits. More cartoonish that fashionable. Melania when posing in the garden wears floral, for thanksgiving weird leather coat that looks like a child’s turkey art project. Don’t even get me started on safari wear, pith helmets, or Indiana Jones inspired pyramid outfit.

Neither are particularly bright and have more money than sense.

You are so gross. Please stop.

Do you know how many times there’s been a “I’m new here and you are so mean” intermission in this thread?

There are people here who have the kind of attention to detail a woman in the public eye (and her stylist) should have. Their comments make me more picky about shopping for my own (much less expensive) clothes.

And they are sometimes funny as all get out.

This is a great thread. Objectively.
