Biden’s economy

Chuck 5 trillion dollars at anything, anywhere, including conjuring $1200 to just hand out willy nilly and you are going to get an economic bounce. It’s just simple. It’s not genius, it’s not policy expertise, it’s just plain easy.

Front page in yesterday’s NYT was a story fretting about Biden being too old to run for President.

It's okay to praise and/or appreciate Biden for his service as POTUS and to also realize that the odds of him continuing at an acceptable standard of mentally and physically fitness while serving a second term aren't very good. The stress of the job itself ages people at an accelerated rate. The same could obviously be said for Trump. If it comes down to a choice between Trump and Biden, I will understand a voters logic in voting for Biden but when I look at and listen to them now, I can't for the life of me imagine how anyone could be confident in their ability to perform this very important and demanding job until January 2029. We are currently in December of 2023, Trump or Biden in January 2029??!! Oh dear heavens. NYT may not necessarily be pre-Biden but they are a left leaning media source. Perhaps they realize that a majority opinion in America of Biden being too old to serve a second term is the only thing giving Trump a chance at winning in 2024. That majority opinion isn't going anywhere whether or not we like it or agree with it.

But it isn’t. The media fell over themselves to praise him for “his” economy, but Biden never gets any credit for steering us out of the deep freeze Trump steered us into. And all the media can talk about is Biden’s age, never Trump’s. Trump is basically as old and in far worse condition physically and mentally. Never comes up. No one ever talks about Trump’s doddering self.

But they sure don’t want to give any credit to Biden. That much is fact, no matter how hard you try to make us talk about other stuff, the media is trying to elect Trump.

Neither deserve all that much credit or blame for the economy in the short term. Both are too to old to be trusted with the POTUS position through 2029. Is what it is.

What was the deep freeze? COVID?

It’s not what you claim it is.

Trump drove the national car directly onto the tracks and then got out and walked away, letting the occupants take the hit and derailing the train. He did that. Biden arrived on the scene, triaged the patients, got the living restored to wellness, got the train back on the tracks and running again, cleaned up the mess. He really did do that. You want to give him no credit because you have a deep seated need to pretend that both parties are equally bad when one party shows it’s a demon from hell bent on sadism and one party tries to make it so people can own homes, get an education and afford food and some nice things.

My “is what it is” is more accurate than yours. You’re a weird party pooper. And yeah, that’s childish, but you have the worldview of a child.

What? He spent 5 trillion dollars and the next generation is behind financially and educationally.

True to some extent. As long as neither of them are president through 2029, we'll be okay.

False. If we have Biden, we’ll be fine. We are fine. If we have a Republican, we will no longer exist as a democracy at all. We will not be okay. Your false equivalences are childish and indicative of a total lack of intelligence.

The only equivalence between Trump and Biden is the fact that both can't be trusted to serve as POTUS through 2029 from a mental and physical fitness standpoint. A second grader could figure that out. Otherwise, there are many more reasons Trump shouldn't be president and we all know this.

A Democratic Vice President will do an adequate job if Biden checks out.

The Republican House of Representatives shows you that any Republican is going to be a dumpster fire if Trump checks out.

Vote Biden.

Whitmer. It's okay for there to be certain standards that must be met before choosing someone to serve in the most important position in the world. You can preach Trump or Biden until the cows come home but it won't make them any more fit to serve and that is what's most important.

Biden has done a good job. Most effective Democratic President since LBJ.

Your play at hyperbole is falling flat.

The Trump Administration and the GOP passed a tax cut for the rich that exploded the debt and deficit spending. That debt and deficit is benefiting very few people, mostly in the .01% of wealth in our country.

When the democrats pass bills, the money goes back into the economy, but also gets things like roads, bridges, tunnels, supply chains, cheaper drugs, etc into our economy, which also benefits the businesses and people of our country.

There is a difference, whether you want to acknowlege it, or not.

Consumer prices met expectations in November as a drop in energy prices dragged down headline inflation, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics released Tuesday morning.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) — the final reading released in 2023 — showed prices ticked up slightly at 0.1% over last month and rose 3.1% over the prior year in November, a slight deceleration from October's 3.2% annual gain in prices.

Economists had expected prices to come in flat month-over-month and rise 3.2% year-over-year, according to data from Bloomberg.
