Political Discussion
| Meanwhile core inflation in November (0.3%) came in higher than October (0.2%). Wonder if this is more Manhattan Institute BS? |
Oh my god, a tenth of a percent! Meanwhile, CPI is down again (but you decided not to mention that because you're a hack). |

A great month for the economy:
Inflation down to 3.1% 199k jobs added Unemployment down to 3.7% Real average hourly wages up .2% Real weekly earning up .5% |
22 straight months of unemployment below 4% is now the longest stretch in 54 years. The late 60s had a 27 month stretch. Looks like we have a good shot at that, unless that recession people on this board have been predicting for 3-years decides to finally show up. The economic numbers are very positive right now so that record is in danger. |
So inflation is still outpacing wage growth? |
The cited metrics were for the month. In a broader timeline, wage growth has exceeded inflation by about 1.5% |
+1 and over the last three months, wage growth is beating price growth by 2% annualized for mid/low wage workers. |
The CPI is down because the removed items they used to have in it. Reality is it’s rise 3.1 the last 12 months https://njbia.org/latest-cpi-data-shows-inflation-rose-3-1-over-last-12-months/ |

Thanks to Bidenflation a good portion of Americans are still in debt from the holidays last year and can’t afford anything now

You are complaining about price gouging. The GOP voted against a Biden anti-price gouging bill. But it's Biden's fault. |
