Completely agree on UVA's value, assuming you are not going there for high-end STEM. People pay college level fees at Private schools, send their kids to a no-name LAC spending yet another round of 50+K/yr and the kids end up working at Starbucks. Also, Umich is so large that LI/NJ trash and athletes are a small minority that can be easily avoided. Can't easily do that at UVA.

What’s truly obnoxious is the general stereotyping by the above poster. Not only is he/she off by about 10,000 undergraduates (Michigan has about 30,000), the insinuation that one of the finest universities in the world is run by said students is insulting to any thinking persons intelligence.
