I’m still not hopeful for Ohio. That state keeps getting more red and without some serious mistakes by Vance I think it’s a super long shot. |
Except my claims are grounded in fact. If people wanted to elect Republicans, would Democratic votes outnumber Republican ones (even diluted by gerrymandering)? If people wanted to elect Republicans, would they have to cheat seventy different ways? Would they have to do this? https://www.nytimes.com/2022/05/30/us/politics/republican-poll-monitors-election-activists.html |
When you don't have anything to run on, use the Race Card
|
When you’re a racist, attempt to reduce American history and using Rand Paul’s own voting record against him to “us[ing] the Race Card.” That’s a powerful ad and powerful imagery at the end. When he says that lynching was used to kill his own ancestors it says it all. This isn’t some thousand-year old history, this is grandparents and great grandparents. And how many White Americans still have souvenirs of these lynchings in their attics? Because it was our ancestors who participated in burning people alive, cutting off their genitals and burning them with cigarettes. And pols like Rand Paul would welcome that history back. Here’s Booker’s page of what he believes in. https://charlesbooker.org/we-believe/ |
He is lying about Rand Paul's record. "The ad criticizes Paul for blocking anti-lynching legislation without saying Paul co-sponsored a new version of it." - AP This ad is just horrible. Not only are his claims blatantly false, his apparent need to push the race card is ridiculous. He comes across as desperate. |
Why a new version? |
To change the subject from the fact that he blocked the last one. |
Maybe. But Vance has never held office and parachuted in with money from Peter Thiel and some other venture capitalists. I can’t imagine he’ll be good at retail politics the way Tim Ryan is. Tim Ryan has a clear message. Vance is more like, vote for me because Trump endorsed me. |
I’m a Booker supporter and am disappointed in this ad. There are So. Many. Reasons. To vote for Booker & Against Paul. This is not one of them. Booker ran a better primary against McGrath. |
A simple google search answers your question.

Oh yeah, Dr. Oz finally won the Republican primary...will be an interesting race of a New Jersey medical doctor TV star vs. a Pennsylvania blue-collar-ish politician with a recent heart condition.

And Fetterman's doctor released this note: Why would Fetterman want him to do this? His doctor didn't need to say anything because...HIPAA.

Probably for the sake of appearing transparent? Also so he can say that he was ignoring his health before, but now he's not - and one of his big aims is to make sure all Pennsylvanians have access to good medical care so they don't have to go without treatment either. |
