Yes, it should have been on a secure system -- the regular system available to the intelligence community for sharing stuff that at the secret and even top secret level. Instead they put it on a codeword access only system available to almost nobody, the kind of system where info about black ops and the names of assets is found. |
They put out official statements anonymously all the time. It’s really weird. |
AKA likely a NSC staffer who doesn't want to go down with the ship. |
It's not weird, it's normal. But posters laugh at "anonymous sources" at WaPo and NYT, they don't realize how normal that is. |

Right. There's a difference between a secure system and what the whistleblower is talking about. PP, I take it you're not very experienced in handling this sort of information. Also, NOFORN = no foreign national, which means a foreign government can't access it ORCON = originator control, basically. it means the originator of the document has to approve any changes in dissemination. it doesn't mean original classification authority, which is a whole different thing. |
I'm OP. I'm responding to my own post because 34 pages later everything I predicted has come true. Go ahead and keep regurgitating the talking points from Fox News, or go them one better and come up with some more even less rational arguments like those on this thread. The fact is that you don't really believe it. You couldn't have read this complaint and thought about it and still conclude that the problem here is Biden or the democrats. Shame on you. |
Where does it state this. |
Responding to questions from a reporter anonymously is normal. Putting out an official statement is not. |
Ironically, Shep Smith and Chris Wallace are having this very debate on Fox right now, at the expense of the rest of the supplicants on the network. |
In the whistleblower complaint. |
Specifically bottom of page 3-top of page 4 in OP’s link. |
There was no initial filing from any individual who directly heard the phone call. |
Ever notice how y'all always refer to the same papers and people? |
Not being "on" the call means something different than hearing the call. As far as we know, only Zelinskyy and Trump were "on" the call but there were others who were listening on both sides. |
