I saw her coach her 2009 team against the 2008 GRF United (second) team. I do not have a DD on that team but we were playing in a tournament game that was going to be on the field next so we were watching the game while our girls warmed up. The teams were tied and she was hysterically screaming at her team. She was yelling "you are better than these girls" and "why aren't we winning". I couldn't believe that a coach would do something like that? She was humiliating girls from her own club.

The parents on her team were just as bad. They were screaming at the girls too. You would have thought this was a world cup elimination game not just a pre-season tourney with 9 year old girls. Not sure if they have learned this behavior from her or if they are all nuts already so they put up with this. I'm guessing they don't care if their DD's are getting treated badly because they are doing it too. The whole thing was sad.

Sounds like a milder version of an FCV sideline, where the TD yells he’s embarrassed by his team because they are having trouble scoring in a game, and singles out a girl to mention that she’s an embarrassment to the DA. Not to mention FCV parents throwing down to fight one another against PDA.

But you should keep focusing on some 2009 GFR little girls coach because the MU coaches have no similar concerns to be exposed. It’s funny that you are trolling an MU DA thread with a non-DA concern.

What’s even more funny is PP is now claiming he saw GFR 2009 team play against their 2008 team in a tournament, while he/she/it was on an adjacent field. Guess the mimosas are tasty the morning.

I am the one who posted earlier. Ironically, this is the experience we had, the '09 girls. That coach is awful towards her players and it is very obvious she is a win at all costs coach. As for the parents, they were very vocal to the point it was awkward. I can only imagine how the parents and coach acted during the final as they lost to Arlington.

I would never have my DD play there as I cannot see how these girls would enjoy it and/or have fun but that is just our first impression. To play Devil's advocate, it was just one experience and I could be wrong. It is possible that she runs fun practices for the kids. The parents are supportive which means something.

Lastly, not trying to troll as we are on the Maryland side. I lurk here often and get a kick out of the parents/post here. Had to call out the GF/MU as everyone is so hard on FCV and Loudoun.

Fair enough however I guess I should have just complained about that certain coach/team from my post yesterday. Just did it here rather than start a new thread to point it out. IMO, every club has a bad coach in one year or another just some have more than others....by the way, at GF show a willingness to fire some of these over the top coaches, example being the '08 Girls coach from last year.

Did you hear, the daughter is a starter on a DA roster. So that makes everything else bearable and makes that parent an expert on all soccer matters. Let's stop living thru our kids and deciding their future when they are 12 or 13.

Every time you mention GFR people scream troll and MU is not GFR. A GFR coach is going to be coaching the 07 DA team and basically the MU team will be the current GFR 07 players. GFR will be the feeder to MU. GFR should be discussed when talking about MU as they are together on this.

The 07 MU coach is the TD of GFR so explain how that is going to work.
