If you say so Mom. |
Sure because that player's Mom would trash her new club. Moron. The top scorer on that team is new to the club. But keep pumping FCV Dad. |
If I were the 20th best player on an FCV team I might consider leaving to be starter on a Loudoun team. |
Coach here- What a stupid thread. Bottom line is if your kid is good then it doesn't matter which top team. |
Wait until you hit no re-entry ages and you will soon see there is no real difference between the 12th best FCV player and the 20th when your kid only gets 20 minutes a game. I'm sure your kid is top 5 and likely the BEST kid on the team from Loudoun so your "safe". And If kids from Loudoun do come over they are not coming over to be subs. You will soon learn that just one kid can come in and take your DD's position leaving her to either play another position or to become an instant sub. And when no re-entry hits being a sub is a bitch. |

2008 Girls are old news..
the future is bright for 09’s and 2010 |
It will be their time soon. If you want a good read go back and read previous years discussions. People will always predict that this year/next year will be different. I don't think so. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/704299.page |
Loudoun has played 3 games. Relax. |
True. Lots of bold predictions of Loudoun defectors to FCV as if nothing had changed. FCV got one kid from Red and one from Black. Years earlier 50% of Loudoun Red left for FCV and McLean. When clubs like Loudoun and VSA via VDA are retaining 70-80% of their rosters it gets harder for FCV to recruit. FCV's U10-U12 teams will begin to be filled with disgruntled Loudoun Black, White and Silver parents and FCV will have to make lemonade out of a few of them. Certainly Loudoun gets some of those kids wrong but not all of them. FCV already can't compete with Loudoun's rec program. This is why the eventual move to Springfield is critical for FCV's future. Their recruitment well is drying up in Loudoun and they need to expand and move. |
FCV DA has scheduled some home games in Arlington and Springfield this month and next. Testing the waters now. |
FCV has never been able to compete with Loudoun's rec program. It's literally the only thing Loudoun is good at. |
And until Loudoun got ECNL the size of their rec program didn't matter because they didn't keep their best players past U12/U13. That is now changing. |
Springfield yes (The St James) Not so sure about Arlington. Wondering if St Agnes means St Stephens St Agnes (Alexandria). Not aware of a soccer field at St Agnes (Arlington)? |
On the boys side, Loudoun had DA for a few years and now shifted down to ECNL (you can argue ECNL vs DA on the girls side, but not the boys). Loudoun obviously wasn’t doing too well in DA which is why they didn’t get a full DA, and their results were overall subpar. You’d think they’d be able to move to boys ECNL and be a player but so far they are like 7-14-3 across age groups. Why? Because many of their “best players” at u9-u12 aren’t factors at u15. Why you expect things to be different on the girls side, I have no idea. |
PWSI 2008 girls Classic seems pretty dominating (some huge skilled girls - fast too) - wonder if they are truly the "B" team for that club (classic is undefeated in NCSL Division 3, while PWSI 2008 red team is in last place in Division 1). |
