In addition to phone calls, there could potentially be texts or emails. If Smollett really organized this, his boyfriend probably has a t-shirt saying, "I'm with stupid".

If there are texts or emails as evidence, then his boyfriend SHOULD have such a shirt.

My guess

1. Nigerian brothers have flipped--they apparently are talking to save their own necks. Pretty sure that is a fact.
2. Possibility: money exchanged--they took a trip to Nigeria right after the attack--that's probably expensive
3. Possibility: phone logs
4. It defies reality to think --after seeing those pics--that those guys could have failed in their "attack". If they had really wanted to hurt him, they could have.
It also does not make sense that they would have yelled "MAGA Country"

I guess it is possible that the manager set this up--and not Smollett--the MAGA accusations did come later--but,my vote is for a joint effort.

He was awfully protective of his phone.

I'm not so sure about the MAGA shout. Smollett could have directed them to yell that so his manager could hear him. What better way to get the unwitting manager to confirm the story than to have them yell something like this. I don't think the manager was in on it. I think Smollett called him so he could have someone to back up his story.

No, the manager had to have been in on it--he's the one that insisted he go to the hospital. Had he not gone to the hospital, he would not have had "confirmation."

I'm not so sure about that. If Smollett was really complaining about his ribs - the manager may have insisted to check for fractures.

Well now CNN has put out a story citing unnamed sources in the CPD titled Police sources: New evidence suggests Jussie Smollett orchestrated attack. The two Nigerians were supposedly paid to " orchestrate the assault." Really sad. And unbelievably stupid.

Chicago (CNN) — Two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation told CNN that Chicago Police believe Jussie Smollett paid two men to orchestrate the assault.
The brothers, who were arrested Wednesday, were released without charges Friday after Chicago police cited the discovery of "new evidence." The sources told CNN that the two men are now cooperating fully with law enforcement.

While I’m impressed by the work done by Chicago PD on this case, it pains me to think about all the hours/resources/etc. that could’ve gone to REAL crimes if Smollett hadn’t orchestrated this circus.

He should be fined for at least a portion of the costs of this investigation.
He should be required to publicly apologize to Trump supporters, to Trump, and to all the people he snowed with this fake story.
And, he should be charged with a felony because of the costs incurred and the national coverage this story got.

(and.... all the politicians and celebrities who took this as an opportunity to slam the Trump administration and Trump supporters should also publicly apologize. But, I won't hold my breath.)
