Are we watching the same hearing???!?

Yes.

She seems completely normal. She took a polygraph. You have nothing.

A polygraph with two questions. Hardly something to crow about.

+1 I think the prosecutor has handled this very well, and Ford has been straightforward in her answers. She hasn't tried to dance the way that others in that chair have.

I saw one of the senior attorneys at my firm who went to Prep posting on this forum. LOL, defending the integrity of Kavanaugh and probably bashing liberals. Despite the fact that he sleeps with the younger associates despite being married and heavily drinking!

God she just said that one of the things she can never forget is hearing their laughter during the incident. Awful.

PP before was right, she’s going to be annihilated. Moms and Grandmas all over the country are petrified about their sons,
grandsons, and husbands getting dragged through the mud.

One more thing—whoever came up with the idea of hiring a couple of guys to take the heat off Brett deserves a six-month vacation at a 5-Star Caribbean resort with multiple high-end adult entertainers available to him at all times. All expenses paid.

Yeah, getting Brett onto SCOTUS is well worth it.

The moms and gradnmoms are far more petrified of their daughters and granddaughters being sexually assaulted.

I am a 51 year old mom and grandmom. I have three adult sons. Two adult daughters. And two grandkids. I'm not even the slightest bit worried about my sons. They know I would hunt them to the ends of this Earth if they ever treated a woman with anything other than respect. They understand consent because we drilled it into their heads when they were teens. I'm not "petrified" that my sons might be accused of rape. I am petrified about the message this disaster sends to my daughters.

Amen. I am using this as an actual teaching moment for my son. I don't have a daughter, but if I did, I would use that as a teaching moment as well.

Both prosecutor Mitchell (pardon me, "the female assistant") and Dr. Blasey Ford are coming across as highly personable. Dr. Blasey Ford seems genuine and credible.

Is the prosecutor slated to ask judge Kavanaugh questions as well? Wouldn't it be something if she helped the accuser's credibility and punctured the accused's? It would be retribution for senator Grassley's "female assistant" comment.

Can't wait till DT calls her a con artist now.

This woman’s babbling about brain chemicals sounds cray cray.

Anonymous wrote:Mitchell is in way over her head. This is going to back fire. She is used to acting as a prosector, and asking questions she already knows the answer to. She's not going to get anything from Ford. It's almost like she is gearing up or fishing for a "catch you in a lie" question, and it's making Ford look highly sympathetic. Plus, Mitchell is not managing her time well by digging into details and asking question after question and then getting interrupted by her time being up. Mitchell is swimming in this so far and she is drowning.

But you have to admit Mitchell has one bitchin' hairstyle. This is little hunk o' Republican lady is my-t-fine!

Yes. She doesn't believe her.

It's her job to not believe her. They had to go all the way out to Arizona and Joe Arpaio country to find her.

I am feeling so angry when she describes what happened. I can EASILY picture the whole incident, and the male entitlement and sexism in those young men. I was a high school girl at one point, and there’s no doubt in my mind that what she is saying is true.

The random weird details are some of the things that make her credible. In traumatic (or for that moment, especially ecstatic), it's pretty normal to remember some random specific things.

Weird details are a sign of anxiety. She’s very nervous. I am a rape crisis counselor so this type of babbling is very common when nervous and anxious. She’s trying to please, I assume the senate panel.

Yes. She doesn't believe her.

Then she’s biased and this makes this “hearing” a total check-the-box sham by the GOP. We have a biased prosecutor doing the bidding of the GOP to add to the circus. Gross.

It doesn’t matter what the prosecutor believes. She’s not voting. Who cares.
