She does indeed have a headshot on that page.

That’s a different photo than what was there earlier. Before they slapped up an AP photo as if she’s not that important.

It's exactly ONE day after the inauguration. Calm down.

If only there was some advance note, am I right? Given that we all were completely caught by surprise by who was inaugurated today, you can see why this was all dealt with so ineptly.

Who could have known.

You're an angry person.

At least I know that we've known the incoming inaugurates and their partners for, oh, more than two months now. Were you asleep?

What? Ok, now it’s clear you’re simply so blinded by your politics that you can’t even be objective. C’mon, man.

She looks lovely.

Those must be the friends that were posting here all weekend, LOL

I'm guessing most of her friends are nerdy lawyers like her and this would explain why her clothes are pretty meh.

Get a stylist, girl! You don't have to go high fashion but people are going to be taking your photograph continuously for four years. Find someone who will put together a system for you that works for most events and then will create evening looks for you when you need one. And I think you need to start from scratch on your hair -- get a lob and a deep condition, start scheduling monthly trims to keep it in shape, follow directions regarding washing and drying.

This isn't about vanity. This is the job she signed on for.

Actually her “job” is to stay bland and out of the limelight. Who has ever cared what the second lady wears? Half the time we don’t even remember her name.

She looked great and not at all like someone who was demanding the spotlight. In short, she looked just right. I loved her inauguration ball gown and her pink coat.

That coat was humongous and weird and it showed off her crazy gray hair which looks awful. I don’t GAF who designed it it did not fit and it looked crazy.

You sound utterly crazy. The coat fit her perfectly. It's a *coat* not a bodycon dress. I don't care who designed it either - she looked lovely.

Here's Kamala Harris's coat from Inauguration 2021. Now THIS is a humongous and ill-fitting coat. I'm sure you agree.

Yep, hate it. But it’s not in such an attention grabbing color nor does it have such an odd I’ll fitting scarf attached.

Bright purple is not an "attention grabbing color"?? Comic gold!

Particularly when compared to a soft pink.

Meh. She was probably forced to wear a bullet proof vest.

Riiiiight... you simply can't admit that Harris's coat was ill-fitting and unflattering.

Hey there. I like fashion; I'm a Dem, DH is a Trump supporter, and I think both Kamala's coat and Usha's were hideously ill-fitting an unflattering. Both can be true. Hope this helps!

hey, exact same but my husband is not a trumper. I also hate Jill Biden's clothes. Usha is younger however and this shouldn't be so hard for such a superior genius. Hope that helps also!

The fit on this is so much better, and she's not torturing the sisters for no discernable reason anymore. It's a real step up, and she is glowing.

And not that this is the point of the Beauty and Fashion forum, but it's certainly not like Usha Vance has pulled her punches in talking about other women -- and not just about their fashion, but regarding their worth as human beings. She then doubled down on it.

I don't think ribbing someone for wearing ill-fitting clothes -- when she knows she is going into the spotlight and will be the second most visible woman representing the country on the national stage -- holds a candle to that.

You're right, this is not the point of the Beauty and Fashion forum. And she has never done the things you're accusing her of. Face it - there are no clothes she could have worn that you would have approved of. She looked great and has been roundly praised for her inauguration looks. Most importantly, she looked happy and confident in what she was wearing - not stiff and uncomfortable.

Really? I'm one of Usha's biggest fashion haters but that is actually one of her better looks.

I like it too. Flattering color and cut but some interesting details. Her make up is not my favorite but not bad.

She doesn't have good skin, large patches of melasma and very dark undereye circles. She needed better foundation and a brighter lip.

I love her outfit, think it's the bad hair and makeup that make her look a little dowdy.

Way too much product on her hair, which is styled in an unflattering way. Earrings look silly and eye makeup looks messy not polished.

So comical. I bet you're the same poster who criticized her last year for not looking polished enough, not doing her hair (to your specifications, of course), and not wearing enough makeup. She looked great. The one strapless dress was a little ill-fitting up top, but not horrible. All of her other dresses have been on point, as has her hair and makeup.

Do you...do you think there's only one person here who thinks Usha can't style herself properly???

Usha has styled herself impeccably. I'm so sorry you know this deep down but can't bring yourself to admit it.

You must know her or something because she is not impeccably styled. Ivanka’s Eva Braun dress modeled on Meghan Markel’s famous green dress looked much better.

The BRF is styled much better.

DP

You mean, this BRF?

No. Vanky imitates Megan Markle and Catherine. They are different people than the ones you shared.

Vanky also imitated Grace Kelly at Tiff’s wedding and Audrey Hepburn at the inaugural ball and Megan Markle during the inauguration.

"Vanky"? Sorry, can't take you seriously. And as for emulating Catherine, Audrey Hepburn, and Grace Kelly, good for her. Those are three impeccable style role models.

DP. Oh, so you're new here. That's a surprise.

Nope. I typically ignore anyone who uses that immature moniker.

Y'all are trying to compare her to fashionistas, she is a beautiful brown nerdy woman who probably never had time or interest for these frivolities. Always on top of her class, trying for top college, top law school, top internships, prestigious clerkships, top law firm, marriage, kids, husband's ambitions etc etc.

She does indeed have a headshot on that page.

Who keeps doing this poor woman this dirty?! I dislike her politics, and her husband, and probably most other things about her, but I'm offended on her behalf that nobody helps her dress for the role she's in. She looks like someone gave the AI the prompt "pull a book from the background and make it Usha Vance". The seams are crooked, the cut is as boring and plain as possible, the color is useless...

Like her or not, this is our VP's wife. She should at least get the kind of care and attention befitting her station for a single public photo! If someone spent half the time dressing Usha that they spent retouching Melania's photo, it'd be fine.

*and she had a nerdy immigrant professor mom so probably fashion weekly wasn't on their reading list

Because if you know her, I get that, but if you're just regular Trump voters...you know she wouldn't piss if you if you were on fire, right? She literally emailed her friends about what white trash you all are like, 20 minutes before her dh was named VP

I haven't been rabidly defending her, but I don't think her fashion choices are worthy of all the harsh criticism, and I have said as much here.

And no, I have never voted for Donald Trump. And I never would.

Okay. But what no one will answer is: Why is Usha exempt from criticism? There is a 75 page thread about Melania that I don't see you guys posting in every five minutes saying how misogynist and awful the posters are.

She is in the public eye and we can discuss her. It's not personal, it's fashion.

They are making her look bad, like she's some hayseed that can't handle it.

You really don’t understand the difference between a professional model and a lawyer?

The person above suggested it was not true that there was an AP photo slapped up there by saying “she does indeed have a photo on the page.”

News flash: They changed the photo.

Don’t comment on posts when you don’t understand the conversation.

And stop getting so triggered.

Project much? It's pretty clear who's triggered here ^^. I couldn't care less if they changed the photo. It's you who's upset about it.
