I dislike everyone around her but I hope she wears some great clothes this weekend. |
This is the beauty and fashion forum of some of the worst people on the planet. |
Would be great if the woman in question did the same, don't you think? I believe the exact quotation was "My husband did not intend to insult all childless women; his remarks were aimed only at those who choose to be childless, not at those who are trying and unable to have children." As far as fashion goes, it is not that difficult to prioritize fit and appropriate tailoring, especially when preparing for a long-planned public event. I even bet a woman who chose to be childless could swing it, so doubtlessly Mrs. Vance can as well. Here's hoping she finds the right path to it. |
I don’t care honestly. She just looks normal/reasonably appropriate. I don’t think she has fashion interest like Melania or michelle Obama. Or even Weird Clothes Ivanka. Which is fine. |
She a Trump woman now so let’s talk about her in the Trump fashion thread.

Agree with all this. She's an attractive woman - and this is the real world - appearance matters. She just needs a stylist and someone to help her prep for official/formal events. |
I really hope she doesn’t get Trumpiified and that she finds a normal stylist that can help her find clothes that fit without turning her into next gen Ivanka.
As a fellow YLS grad, I’m only a few degrees of separation from her and it seems like most people liked her …. I think she’s been pulled into an alternative reality over the past 5 years and is probably more than a little disoriented on several levels. I don’t think this is the lkfe she imagined for herself. Sorry that was a divergence from the fashion topic but related in that I’m hoping she is able to maintain her sense of self through all this. Remember when they dolled up Sarah Huckabee Sanders? She looked so uncomfortable in the curls and heavy heavy. And God knows what they’ve done to Kristi N. |
Are you new here? |
She is soooo frumpy. She needs a hairstylist in addition to a clothes stylist. |
Even Karen Pence got Trumpified. It’s coming for Usha too. |
Tearing down women in the White House was not much of a thing until about the last decade. Nobody cared what the Bush women wore or looked like. There was Jackie Kennedy and then frumpiness was okay for many decades. |
Barbara Bush was not presenting herself as a fashion icon, and neither was Rosalynn Carter. They wore safe, boring basics. Pretty much the same for (First Lady) Hilary Clinton, Pat Nixon, Betty Ford. Lady Bird Johnson, too, and Laura Bush. Nancy Reagan had her sort of armor of bright color and strong suits, but nobody would have said she was trying to be fashionable as opposed to making safe, reliable choices. Michelle Obama was both younger than many before and chose to highlight American designers quite publicly. Her fashion choices became a topics, in part because she wanted them to be a topic for the sake of those designers' visibility. And then you get Melania Trump, who had made a living from her appearance. (Trust me, Barbara Bush did NOT.) She made attempts at being fashion forward (can you imagine Rosalynn Carter in "I don't care, do u?"), and her supporters were incessant in praising her looks, her fashion, her visual appeal. That's going to spark conversations, so here we are. |
Usha isn’t trying to be a fashion icon. Leave her alone.
Melania isn’t perfect, but she rarely looks anything other than gorgeous. It’s impressive. |
Not interesting enough for her own thread for sure and should be dumped in the Trump women thread. I don’t know how I’m going to make it through the next four years without regular doses of Ivanka’s crazy outfits. 😭😭😭Everything about this time is worse. |
That's the opposite of frumpy - though i am worried that the dress is about to slide down; it doesn't QUITE look stable there |
