Let them reap what they sow

I've never seen myself as someone who is rooting for the U.S. to fail, but I am now. I'm hoping that the Republicans take the House so they can OWN the horrific policies they're about to impose. I'll be just fine -- I'm another rich white person who just doesn't give a sh-t anymore. I'll just sit back and fiddle while Rome burns.

But I so wish for it all to work out just as we know it will. Let them lose their healthcare and social security and welfare. Let them all get deported, every single one of them. Let our stocks go up while they wallow in their paycheck to paycheck. Let their families go hungry and sick. Let Musk cut the government in half, all of it. Let their women bleed out in hospitals.

We will be fine but I cannot wait, cannot I tell you, for them to reap what they sow.

I feel somewhat the same. I’m sick over this but ultimately it’s not going to affect my life. It’ll mostly hurt the people who voted for him.

Except for women. This is tragic for all women and girls (and men who actually care about them), regardless of their economic position or political persuasion.

It’s tragic that Democrats are ok with biological men participating in women’s sports, stealing their opportunities, and changing in women’s locker rooms.

And if you stepped away from just your liberal news sources you would know that Trump supports abortion up to a certain point (can’t remember if it was 12 or 16 weeks) with exceptions for rape, incest, health of the mother.

You are aware that trans people are less than 1% of the population and that very few of them are athletes? THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL PROBLEM.

But it sure does work to make some of the most vulnerable among us a boogeyman to win elections.

You SUCK, PP.

Exactly. There are significant issues in women's sports. This isn't one of them.

Tell yourself this but recognize the reality that many of us want to have this discussion but our posts get deleted. Your views on what matters to women or what are “significant” are not the majority’s.

Andy Beshear won the KY election while supporting trans rights. This ain't it.

Linking to the UN report on female sport. Over 600 female athletes across 29 sports have lost medals.

Ok, Republicans control government this cycle. Implement a solution.

Already are! Biden’s attempted rewrite of title IX is in the dustbin.

You are correct that it is a rare event. However, a liberal with balls should have called foul early on. As a female doctor and a liberal, I have zero tolerance for boys in contact sports with girls. Boys are simply stronger. It’s the responsibility of leaders to take a stand. Harris would not have lost one vote had she taken a stand. Pardon typos please

See, conservatives are all about social regulations. Have a pure country while you are hungry and sick.

Conservatives weren’t the ones making the changes on this issue.

This is disgusting and should be taken down. Shame on you. This kind of hatred is why Republicans won.

I voted for Harris. But everyone who I know who we are Republicans or voted for Trump all of them listen to others who disagree with them and don’t spew this kind of hate.

This is the kind of attitude in the Democratic Party and why they lost. They didn’t just loose the presidency. Get out of DC and get to know people who live paycheck to paycheck who see countless migrants get free housing and food and healthcare when their kids are starving and they can barely make rent.

Shame on you. Bring people together don’t spread more hate.

I don't know any MAGA's who listen or care about others. Shame on you for thinking what happened here is ok. It's not we are in for years of division and it started when Trump supporters stormed the capitol. Shame on you for forgetting that day when Trump tried to off his VP.....and for forgetting all of it. I don't believe you voted for Harris.

It makes me sad to feel this way but I totally agree. No more donations after hurricanes and other natural disasters, not going to care when red states can’t find quality doctors willing to work in their states to provide women’s health care, and certainly not going to care when then voters can’t afford to buy homes, have to help out their parents who no longer get social security and can’t afford to pay for their prescription drugs. Somehow, all of these people will still blame the Dems.

They will blame the Ds because they have been conditioned to think that Big Brother will bail them out if they make poor life choices, spend more than they bring in, don't save for retirement, reproduce indiscriminately, and anticipate the government redistributing income and benefits to them from more productive members of society.

Yeah! Even those nuts in the Dearborn thread insisting that I am supposed to care what happens to Muslims in Michigan after they voted for Trump. Somehow I am supposed to be made of endless compassion, existing only to salve those whose own choices have somehow left them worse off.

If there is one thing I feel very sure of after this week, it is that I am not made of endless compassion. It's been incredibly liberating, actually, to feel this need for caring and protection start to lift.
