Joe is out

And I will enthusiastically go out to get votes for Harris.

Harris will always be herself - which is a bad temper, no manners, ill fitting pantsuits and faux pearls. The "face" she puts on for the public is who she is. She will never get the votes with it.

I’ve never seen Trump in pearls, but it’s astonishing you feel like manners, temperament and the tailoring of suits are critical to a job you want to elect him for.

I never said I wanted him elected. I had hoped for a qualified Dem. We have Kamala. She is not going to win a national vote. And yes - class matters. Communication skills matter. This is politics in the US - are you unaware that every election cycle - these things matter?

Dems brought this S sandwich in themselves. Say hello to President Trump, losers.

Kamala. What a joke. She's so terrible she is scaring off all donors. But the Dems backed themselves into a corner with identity politics, because it'll look so bad when they have to pass over a black female candidate (despite how terrible she is) for a white candidate.

Dems loved by the identity sword, now they will die by it because their base will be so fractured along identity lines. Kamala can't win and will get demolished. Yet Dems will also have to eat another S sandwich if they run someone else.

What terrible party leadership and strategy. It's kinda unbelievable how Trump doesn't have to do anything except let them meltdown internally. They should have not backed another Joe run in 2023 and made it clear to him that he was done in '24.

This right here tells you Trumpers are now worried. The contrast between the old guy and the young woman will be stark

DP. The PP is absolutely correct. I’m not sure how that tells you anything at all about “Trumpers.”

+1 - this is a massive swipe against the gerontocracy.

It's true that it's a setback for the GOP. Biden was the ideal adversary. That said, I don't think the Ds have the clarity of mind right now to pick a candidate that will appeal to most Americans.

The ratings for the DNC are gonna be lit. They are going to demolish the RNC ratings. The twice-impeached convicted felon rapist seditionist dude is gonna be jelly.

I disagree. Trump’s convention speech was a complete disaster. The convention was a total clown show. JD Vance has no experience and nobody actually knows what it is that he stands for since he changes his stance so much. The GOP wanted Joe to stay in the race. Kamala can speak coherently about abortion rights, J6 and Project 2025.

The convention was an embarrassment to the country and so full of lies it was hard to stomach.

Can’t wait for the DNC! That will be so much better. /s

Actually, anything will be better than Kid Rock, Hulk Hogan ripping the American flag, and Gaetz and his overflowing fillers

We’ll see! If the 2020 DNC is any indication, we’re in for quite an “interesting” display.

Hahahahahaha
That woman is a moron. She will do nothing but embarrass herself. She will fall out of that coconut tree for sure.

Ummmm no. I’m a lawyer who actually watched Senate Judiciary Hearings. She may not pass the “do you want to drink beer with her” test. And that could be an issue. Hoping her time as VP has honed some of her softer skills. But, she is most definitely not stupid or inarticulate. In fact, she is very, very sharp. Ask Beer Bong Brett if you don’t believe me.

She may be smart in person but she comes across as rambling and an intellectual lightweight in public events.

Unlike this fine oratory specimen:

"And then I say - and I don't think there's anything wrong with this because it's an analogy - if there's a shark about 10 yards away, 'do I get electrocuted or do I go with the shark? ' I would take electrocution all day long"

Another key endorsement for Harris

Feels like karma

The GOP has the full backing of the media and most of the billionaires, but there’s a long way between here and November and Trump’s dementia isn’t going to get better. It does indeed feel like karma

Shutting the barn door after the horse has escaped is selfless?

He may have cost the Dems a presidency and the country a democracy by being a stubborn fool. This is a last-ditch attempt to save downballot races

Better late than never. He could've just been stubborn and not drop out. Can you see Trump doing that? No. His ego is way too big for him to do that.

You’re trying to draw an equivalency between Biden’s 2024 campaign performance and Trump’s, with Trump losing that comparison?

No. Trump wouldn’t drop out — but Trump doesn’t have to. Unfortunately.

Focus on winning these races and knock of the unhelpful, “I know Trump is, but what am I?” mindset. It’s going to cost us a democracy.

No, I'm saying if the situation was reversed, Trump being told to drop out because of his mental issues, he wouldn't do it because his ego is too big, and he's a self a$$.

Trump being in the WH is a huge cost to our democracy. A lot of Dems don't want Biden. When Biden won the nomination, it wasn't as clear as it is now that his mental acuity had declined.

He dropped out for the good of the country. My respect for him just went up.

No big name Democrat is going to run against the potential first woman of color President, particularly one who has been serving as VP and has the endorsement of President Biden. No one.

Now it's all about the VP pick.

If that is the primary reason to choose a candidate for the Democratic party, we deserve to lose to Trump.

Who is "we"? No decent human being "deserves" to lose to Trump.

This is the sort of elitism that makes a liberal like me to vote for Trump.

Oh BS. No liberal is voting for Trump.

Don’t be so sure we are voting for Kamala, either!

+10000 NOT A CHANCE I'M VOTING for the giggling, immature Kamala as the next POTUS.

If you aren’t willing to vote for the first Black female president, please go ahead and tattoo RACIST on your forehead.

At this point, her being a Black woman and the first to hold that office are literally ALL that matters.

This has got to be satire.

God, I know, right? All those happy people voting for the American way of life, people being joyful. It was disgusting! And non White people being represented! Who did they think they were, real citizens or something?!

Imagine being so based your opponent, the POTUS, literally drops out when YOU were the one who almost got your head blown off.

There are still a lot of gun toting MAGAS.

It’s like you think liberals don’t own guns. We do. The only differences are we are responsible with them, we aren’t legends in our own minds with them, and MAGA wears those red hats, which are going to be useful for target identification if it comes to that.

Sorry, but I cannot take her seriously.

Dems need someone with executive experience. Newsome, Whitmer, perhaps Hokle.

She was the AG for the largest state in the country. That is a ton of executive experience, certainly more than, oh I don't know, Vance or even Trump, who ran a family "business," not a sprawling enterprise.
