This. I can't think of another that comes close. To a degree LBJ, but he didn't inherit what Biden did.

Imagine being so based your opponent, the POTUS, literally drops out when YOU were the one who almost got your head blown off.

It still goes into the Biden-Harris campaign coffer, which Kamala will now control.

Jimmy Carter II.

Kamala is the only one who can get the fundraising money that's already been raised. So us she the one?

Because that’s not his choice to make. He will endorse whoever will have the greatest chance of winning. Not sure that’s her.

She polls better than any of the others, and if ALL the dems rally and can carry sane Independent and traditional conservatives to the table to defeat Trump, then we can go back to some sense of policy debate in 2028.

But for now, getting Trump out and mitigating the MAGA movement is the priority.

I would assume most of the named "former conservatives" will be on board with this.

You can't give up the power of the incumbency and be a lame duck for 18 months.

That said:

Joe should be praised for what he did for this country in 2020 and Kamala should carry the mantle of the Biden Coalition and bring centrists to the table to defeat MAGA and Trump once and for all.

His presidency has been a disaster and Kamala would be worse.

The NYTs said he “didn’t want to give Netanyahu the satisfaction” of announcing any decision prior or during Bibi’s trip to DC this week.

That’s why the pressure campaign ramped up so much. Bibi wants a victory tour in DC.

Can you clarify? Does Bibi not think Joe did enough for Israel?

BiBi was part of the "pass the torch" campaign.

So no, Bibi prefers Trump/Kushner and pushing Palestinians to the sea instead of the humanitarian aid and trying to get a cease fire as Biden has been trying to do.

I love him.

And I will support whoever the Democratic candidate is 100%.

My theory is that the “elites” threatened to invoke the 25th amendment if he didn’t withdraw.

Oh please! He held on and was pushed out. Doesn’t seem selfless in the least. If anything it was utterly selfish to hang on for so long. Anyway good that he finally did it.
