It's been made abundantly clear that you'd vote for a corpse over Trump. My question is why the corpse over the myriad of younger, more competent Democrats. Out of the Democrats I know, absolutely no one likes Biden but they are all resigned to him. How did he win the primary if no one likes him?

Same way he won the election in 2020 while sitting in his basement doing nothing, maybe reading the occasional teleprompter. It was like giving the Make-a-wish kid the football and he gets to score a touchdown when nobody is allowed to tackle him.

An example of how the way was paved for old Joe: Trump tried to expose his blatant corruption in Ukraine, and was impeached for it.

It does feel different this time around, like Trump has turned the tables somehow, and Joe’s ring of protection is gone.

Trump won the only primary that matters, the one that you and I don't get to vote in. He won that primary by being more pro-Israeli/war than Biden and his crew. He's bean picked to give them the war they want.

FACT: The Bipartisan Senate border bill had specific provisions to go after fentanyl smuggling, to put sanctions on China for subsidizing fentanyl, to go after finances of organizations involved in fentanyl, to improve detection of fentanyl at the ports, and to overall improve border security and staffing. In addition it also had provisions to protect children who might be getting trafficked.

BUT the House Republicans lined up behind Trump and refused to consider that bill and instead touted HR2, which DOES NOT CONTAIN A SINGLE WORD about fentanyl, and which numerous analysts have said would make child trafficking EVEN WORSE.

REPUBLICANS want more of the same, and to postpone doing the sensible and obvious until after the election so that they can continue to lie and demonize Democrats and then falsely take credit.

That would be the only sensible, fair and equitable option.

Agree with this. But what happens if independent panel determines one of them has dementia (or something else) and states don’t have mechanism for changing who is already on the ballot (as pp indicated)?
