all i've seen is folks going back and forth about how far away the players are from each other, how far a guy ran to hit him... that's not the rule. i'm explaining the actual rule to you. i didn't see it nor do i care to, i'm not judging what the call was. you could say "thanks, i didn't know that" OR.... reply differently. |
Take it easy Riverside moms. The two PVI players one at UMD and one at UVA also grew up in Loudoun and played rec in Loudoun. No where in the thread is this only for public school commenting. For the record, the first few State titles Riverside won they had kids who "waivered" into Riverside as this was allowed for a new school so they did go outside the zone. This is not a private v public comment until you made it so. It is worth noting that four kids who grew up playing lacrosse in Loudoun will be facing each other on Saturday. |
You are making this into an argument and that wasn't the original intention. The original post said "Probably has never happened before in this county, that two public school kids will go head to head, on this big of a stage, and were high school teammates." Talk about your private schools all you want, who cares. You missed the entire point... Also, I would be careful stating things like Riverside winning with guys outside of there zone. Name them. That is 100 percent not true. They won their titles with kids zoned to go to Riverside. Maltz, Schroter, Pehlke, Musa's, Park, Callis, Ash.... ect... all lived in Riverside neighborhoods. |

Wanted to take a moment to congratulate 5 Loudoun County schools for making the state tournament and wish them well in the Regional finals:

Great Post. Indy/Riverside is set for 5:30pm start. |
Thank you for the kind words and the updated time. As for my thoughts on a LoCo champion: 4s longest of shots- I don't see either of the Loudoun teams getting past Atlee or Salem or maybe even Glass 5s very close to a lock- I believe Riverside and Indy are the two best teams left in 5. 6s outside shot for Freedom- 3 games vs Battlefield and the Fairfax schools is a very tall task. |
| Really cool day for Riverside and Loudoun County lacrosse. Congrats to Danny and John! |
What made today a really cool day? |
When you are a public school parent you get really hyped if a kid plays in a D1 game which is kind of cute I guess. |
| 2 Riverside kids playing against each other in the semi-finals. |
Yeah actually going to high school for free is really cool. And starting for a top 10 program is cool too. Have fun at PVI. Awesome program and atmosphere enjoy. |
Not much to update LCHS to host loser of Meridian/ W Albemarle Dominion travels to winner Riverside/ Indy winner bye Loser to Midlothian No updates yet to 6a |
| in 6A, Freedom/Battlefield will play the winner/loser between Glen Allen and Deep Run. The other Regional Match-ups in 6A are: Robinson vs. Mclean and Madison vs. West Potomac |
Yes just updating my previous post and no update on 6a, from the first post. Loudoun forum so I didn’t include Non LoCo seeding until and unless the play freedom. |
You can go to private school at pay $35k per year for your kid to go play DIII lacrosse somewhere in Virginia (great ROI). |
