Fairfax Murder

Do you mean 2 months?

I have no inside knowledge, but yes, 2 months seems a bit long if it was straightforward self-defense, BUT I have no idea how long these investigations typically take so it's really hard to judge.

TV degree meaning you all get your knowledge from CSI or Law and Order. You all have no idea what is considered "a long time" for a case to be open, or even if it is open at all. You provide no proof of any knowledge. You are all wannabe detectives, and know-it-alls. I'm sure you'll all reply that I'm so mean to you...awww. In the mean time you are all defaming people you don't even know or know anything about.

this is not true. I do have both inside information, and also anyone can also look online and find out the case is in fact open. So on both accounts you are not correct. Stop slinging mud when you are the one that doesnt know what you are talking about. The mud you are slinging is at Joe Ryan who did not commit this murder, and Christine Banfield would not be happy you are defending her murderer. I dont watch tv crime shows. I read every article written, watched the news, spoke to the police many times, and I have been thoroughly interviewed. I am grieving but I am also speaking up here because I refuse to let Joe Ryan's name go down in this way and people speak about someone I know would never physically hurt a woman, let alone murder her for no reason. It is a lie, and I'm speaking up... so keep up the mud slinging and keep saying stupid insults, because it's just mean and stupid and dangerous. I want justice for Joe and Christine, you seem to want to insult people without reason or awareness. This means something to the survivors and it means something to society while this murderer or murderers still walk free.

Good God! Pot/kettle.

You have no idea if posters have an actual connection to the case, several do.

Your trolling makes you look like a pathetic knob.

61 days, not 2 years. Big difference.

There are many of us that are hoping the truth comes out. It's a shame the "narrative" doesn't fit what people want to believe.

I would think that if the other man had hurt or attempted to hurt the wife in her own home, the police would’ve already explained that.

The au pair thing is just wild.

He has good friends, I genuinely believe it was friends and family raising questions that got an investigation kicked off. There are only so many resources to go around and with the DH having LE ties, would have been easy to close it. I hope in time your memories can be a comfort, not sure if you are the LARPING PP or not. Victims deserve justice and that little girl deserves safety if in fact her father was capable of such a thing.

I can not talk in detail about the case. I can say I was close to Joe, and I can say that his family and friends all loved him and believe he was wronged and want to see full justice. It is clear if you go back and listen to the very few tv law enforcement interviews about the case they all state that there were two victims, and name Joe Ryan as one of them. They clearly state that the husband refused to speak to them, and it is public knowledge the case is very much still open. Law Enforcement don't open or keep the case open because family and friends come forward. They typically access a crime scene, witnesses, 911 calls, do background checks, and other evidence and then begin with family interviews and move to friends. What I am saying is the case is open because they need to find out why and how it happened and not because people told them Joe was a nice guy, but because the facts of the case warrant a full and careful investigation. The story that the husband gave did not line up with the crime scene. I, like most people are not able to give my identity to a discussion board this early in the case. It is still early for sure. This is very difficult for me to stand by and remain silent.

I saw that and immediately thought of this thread. Is there a separate thread for it? If not, there should be.

I also read somewhere, but can't find it now, so not sure of the validity, that the aupair referred to the alleged stabber as "my friend" when she called the police the 2nd time.

This is what I wondered; if the deceased was somehow involved with and jilted by the au pair.
