Oakton -7. YHS is struggling on offense sans their star middies from last year. The win vs Robinson seems to be an anomaly.

Curious to see who the top 4 in Concord District will be. This District is looking pretty strong and full of talented upcoming teams. Nice to see coaches build up programs within a few years of their arrival. Great job Concord coaches! Still a fan of the underdogs South Lakes and Westfield and what they’ll bring to the table.

I wouldn’t bet real money on any game in that concord division, from top to bottom there is team that’ll punch you in the mouth if you understand them.
Battlefield? Great goalies, solid field players and parents that make baseball parents look like saints. Great team but EVERYONE hates you not because of your team but because of the parents.

It’s been an interesting lead in to the season, it’s about to get fun. 🙂🤘

PP is correct for the concord. However, I still think on any given day, anyone can pull out a win with a lot of teams evenly matched. It also depends if the team peaked too early or is firing on all cylinders going into Districts and regionals. And the big unknown factor- Injuries. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see anyone get hurt, but this could play a huge factor down the home stretch. So Coaches Like Oakton that don't really care about the kids, will ride his players until they break.
Speaking of coaching- This also will be a factor as to how well these coaches prepare for big games.
Good luck to all the teams and hope to see some great games.

Almost forgot- Oakton by 10 tonight as Yorktown just doesn't have the horses like they did last year as they are a sub par team this year.

The Concord District is typically the toughest district in the state so no surprises here... Don’t think that South Lakes or Westfield have the depth or dominant players that are needed to compete in the top half of the district. I think Oakton, Madison, and Centreville still beat both teams.

What facts do you have to back up that Oakton coaches don’t care about their players? Not opinion, facts?

I agree- thats pretty bush league to make a statement about the Oakton Coach(es), while anonymously hiding behind your keyboard. Pretty shallow.

Are those the same Oakton coaches who rested their star player and starting goalie for most of the 2nd half against South County?

I’m going to go Yorktown because they are still a great team and now have something to prove. I wouldn’t bet the buffalo wing money on it though. 😂
