Fire in upper NW?

The swords even if not sharpened blade are still sharp and dangerous. It has been also documented that he had a gun. I do not know if he hunted doves or what. That IS a gun safe. Maybe it was there when they moved in, but it is there. The police made a point of showing it.
so you bug off, something tells me that some of you on these boards are not willing to acknowledge some unusual stuff...
Gun or guns, cars licensed in multiple states?, hiring of those with dangerous criminal records, racing, martial arts using swords, cash business, off shore banking...perhaps perfectly legal...as previously discussed... what else? So you bug off. It will come out whatever it is...pretending this is a low key, low risk situation here is...um...for lack of a better word....denial. Trying to understand what a possible motive is here or what else may have been going on aside from the obvious... It is most definitely not "normal" and not "normal" for the top 1%. High risk behaviors at the very least...any one of the items involves risk, all combined...well...no wonder people are rivited.

I suspect the PP said "bug off" because the comment about ninja swords seemed flippant and flouting the sober approach one would appreciate when discussing a crime that included the murder of a child. The reply to the "bug off" actually made a decent case for the possibility of a large safe being able, in fact, to accommodate something as long as a ninja sword. Perhaps if such a reasonable description had joined the initial query about ninja swords, the ninja-sword poster would not have been invited to "bug off".

A crime lab vehicle has pretty much been parked in front of the house since the murders were discovered. Evidently, they've been combing through every layer.

12:15 I guess it was flippant and is simply reflective of my annoyance!!! I am most upset about this little boy and yet also irritated at some of these behaviors that I personally feel are high risk..combination of the two and frustration of slow pace of recovery of criminal evidence. I am not however sorry, 'cause I think safe could very well be holding ninja swords or hunting rifles...which should be kept in safe!!!

After crime lab vehicle finished scanning documents, the IRS will no doubt be pulling up with theirs...

Glad to see them be thorough and find the tiniest detail that will help shed light on this case.

in reference to photos on an earlier post: Imagine that some high powered cameras can zoom in to obtain those photos of crime lab workers. I would think that the burnt rooms have a strong odor and fire may have affected the electricity so they are using fresh air and natural light to help them review. So LE seen in windows may simply reflect that vs any variation on their professionalism.

Why would they allow themselves to be filmed and watched during an investigation ? Isn't this highly sensitive information?

They could easily have shut the garage door while looking at the safe and closed the window coverings while looking at documents.

Doesn't that seem odd, or unprofessional?

Or is it just me?

-----> Perhaps they want to be seen -- it might be strategic. Perp(s) may start squirming if they see their name might be found in a document.

Or perhaps the electricity is off in the house or at least in the upstairs rooms after the fire and they need to be near a window for light.

And/ or related to the safe they may have videotaped to assure there could be no accusations of planting evidence, or stealing something that they found in the safe. Safes are usually used to secure your most valuable personal effects.

My initial reaction was similar to yours, that the photographer was at a distance with a long-lense and the investigators didn't realize they were being watched. The reason the doors were left open is because the power was shut off after the fire and there is no light. Investigators are doing all their work by flashlight. Police Chief Lanier announced this in one of her first interviews after the fire.

Are you assuming that based on recent events or do you know that factually?

I'm guessing these are not new search warrants, but unsealing previous warrants in response to FOIA requests from the media.

No one here said they were new. The statement was that search warrants are coming out.
