Political Discussion
For those who don’t know what the Manhattan Institute is, they’re the chin dribblers who helped bring us supply side economics. You know - the system that actually knee capped the middle class and helped concentrate wealth in the hands of the few. No wonder they’re content to try and blame Biden; people were finally wising up that “trickle down” economics meant just that: a trickle for the many while the few kept the spoils. |
+1 Well put. Liars currently employing Iraq war liar Judith Miller and CRT liar Christopher Rufo among the many economic chin dribblers. |

The USA has been the best performing developed large economy in the world since 2021, bar none. It is clear in the stats.
You can find some developing countries and some small countries with booms due to 1 or 2 industries dominating their economies. But when it comes to large developed economies it’s the Biden economy that has been best! Name any large developed economies that have outperformed the US in the last 3 years? |

Is there anyone who doesn’t know this? The economy isn’t perfect. There are lots of people who are struggled because everything is more expensive and wealth inequality is still bad but I’m still with the Democrats because the GOP doesn’t care about and won’t fix wealth inequality and they won’t do anything to fix inflation either. I haven’t heard a single idea from the GOP, but they do try to weaken workers’ rights at every turn and argue that CEO pay can be whatever and no one is owed a living wage for actually doing the work. |
| *are struggling. I’m not AI, I swear. |

We have successfully steered through the pandemic supply chain disruptions and inflation.
Average earning are up, compared to inflation. And jobs are plentiful, prime age worker participation hasn’t been this high since the 2000 .com boom. More people have jobs than in 2019/20, and those jobs on average pay more!

| But somehow the media and right wing have convinced most Americans that our economy is dire and the democrats suck at it. |
Bloomberg has its "100% Chance of Recession Next Year" headline at the top of its website for months last year. Never saw an mea culpa on that one. |
The “liberal media” is literally hiding good economic news. |

Media reports on the “vibes”
Media also creates the “vibes” So… here we are |
The “liberal media” is going so hard for Republicans that I wonder what kind of compromising material the GOP has on them. |

Inflation is double what the manipulated cpi says. People are pissed at reality and the crunching down of lifestyle. I’m wealthy and drive a lot so eat a good bit of fast food on a whim. I’ve really noticed the insane jacking up of prices and even though it doesn’t affect me badly I have literally stopped buying. I’ve stopped buyin in many areas. You literally cannot drive out of your house without dropping 50 bucks. There is going to be a cascading layoff tsunami in the near future. |
Nailed it. The bolded corresponds with record profits. Your ire is misplaced. |
Fast food will probably do ok because of the Walmart effect. People who eat at restaurants will now go to McDonald’s like people who go to wegmans are now in increasing numbers going to Walmart. But there is going to be bankruptcies and defaults all over the place soon. |
