This is why Republicans are crazy to think that Biden will be easy to beat.

Which do you think most voters care about, GDP or cost of living? He's running against a populist; bragging about GDP and corporate profits when cost of living is rising faster than ever and salaries are lagging is going to play right into Trump's campaign.

The cost of living is not rising faster than wages. That's another GOP lie. It's important to counter the false narrative that the economy is bad.

The cost of living has risen far more under Biden than wages. His 3years have CPI growth of 4.7% in 2021, 8% in 2022, and 3.5% in 2023
https://www.minneapolisfed.org/about-us/monetary-policy/inflation-calculator/consumer-price-index-1913-

Annual wages 1.7% in 20202 and -1.8% in 2022. Unless 2023 was really a banner year, wages aren't catching inflation for Biden's presidency
https://stats.oecd.org/Index.aspx?DataSetCode=AN_AV_WAGEGROWTH#

2023 has been a banner year. Wages have been rising much faster than inflation since January.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1351276/wage-growth-vs-inflation-us/

Not even remotely enough to erase the ground list in 2022 and 2021.

It will overtake it in a few months if trends keep up. Inflation since January 2021 is a cumulative 17% and wage growth is a cumulative 13.6%. Another few months of wage growth exceeding inflation by 2% and that will wipe it out. It has been a tough haul getting back from Trump's recession, but Biden is doing it despite all the gloom and doom predictions.

You mean the inflation that happened under Biden spurred by $1 trillion in new spending and a fed chair who didn't really care about the second part of the fed's dual mandate?

Nope. I don't think it's caused by "Trump's recession" either. The inflation I'm aware of is world-wide but has been less severe in the U.S.

Inflation happened because of COVID and how badly Trump handled it. Fact is, the inflation in the US is much less than any other country. Eergo, inflation was not caused by the bills passed by Biden and the democrats, but rather, inflation was mitigated by those bills. It could have been A LOT worse, and the experts were predicting it to be a lot worse, but it wasn't. At all.

Wrong. The US was 3.2% as of end of October. France's was 4% and South Korea's was 3.8%.

No, the inflation that occurred due to Trumps disastrous mishandling of the pandemic.

And is still among the lowest inflation rates in the world.

but not in the developed world. I guess 'we're better than Nigeria' could be their argument

Show a country that has lower inflation than the US.

Japan, South Korea, France

So the US inflation rate is the 4th best in the entire world.

What are you complaining about again?

Canada, Germany, even the UK. We are lower than Italy, so yay?
