I think the Sussexes are a truly unique situation. I'm not saying Meagan's show or store are unique, but their flavor of celebrity (actress turned royal turned lifestyle creator) certainly IS unique. Their Oprah interview had a huge viewership. Why wouldn't Netflix want to end the relationship between on a positive note in case Harry and Meagan ever want to participate in that kind of content again?

NP- The Oprah interview drew people in because it was a juicy tell-all. Then Harry also told his story in Spare. There is no more of this sort of content coming without royal access. So what's left? Harry has little to offer and Meghan was a better influencer before she married him with more authentic and fun content. I think the big mistake by both Netflix and H & M was not opening their actual home for the show. People do not want to watch people playing pretend in an over-curated way in a space not even their own with guests who are not their friends.

A lot of reality shows are filmed that way. I’m sure there’s plenty left given the Andrew situation.

I actually think the press just makes stuff up sometimes- about both sons. William usually ignores it, but Harry and Meagan have made it their mission to take the press to task. Harry was just overseas testifying against one of the papers recently. I don't really believe all these articles.

I actually think the press just makes stuff up sometimes- about both sons. William usually ignores it, but Harry and Meagan have made it their mission to take the press to task. Harry was just overseas testifying against one of the papers recently. I don't really believe all these articles.

William doesn't ignore completely ignore it, although he does a better job of ignoring than Harry and Meghan do. Last week there was an article about Kate visiting a Hindu temple where she took off her shoes and exposed, gasp, bunions and toenail fungus. Those articles were taken down after a day. Yes, Harry and Meghan are currently suing the Mail for tapping their phones several years ago.

The weird thing about the "feuding" articles is that certain "journalists" predictably take the same sides. Becky English speaks for Charles, Tom Sykes speaks for William, and so on. Amanda Platell, Liz Jones, and AN Wilson have apparently been given permission to completely trash the Waleses recently, which is very surprising.

Who knows. Agree that half of it is lies, either planted by one of the palaces, or completely made up by bored "journalists" who need to file something, anything, by the deadline.

I don't think she left because of Andrew, but for Megan-haters the narrative has long been that the BRF is mostly good and Megan was selfish and entitled and threw a fit, and us now depriving her husband and kids of relationships with this great, loving family. But:

- Harry's uncle is a pedophile
- Harry's aunt hung with pedophiles, and took his cousins to hang with them too
- Harry's grandmother doted on and protected Harry's pedophile uncle, who was her favorite

And that's before we get to issues with Diana (the cheating and public humiliation), the rivalry between the heir and the spare, and the many weird features of a "family" that is run like a business.

The point is that any normal person would look at Harry's family and no approvingly at Megan's choices here. Their fundamental dysfunction becomes more obvious with each passing day. Megan is far from perfect (and she signed up for this BS too, she fell for Princess bait just like they all do) but I'm going to go ahead and take the side of the person who encouraged her obviously traumatized husband to get therapy and distance from his effed up family, not the effed up family.

When some D list actress/influencer with her own family issues is the most mentally and emotionally functional person in a room, you have Issues.

But if all this is true, why would she want to remain a titled member of the Royal Family and style herself as the Duchess of Sussex? I think it just didnt work out the way she wanted and she left, which is fine.

She styles herself as Meghan Sussex. One of the more well-known (infamous?) moments on her show was when she told someone to call her Meghan Sussex instead of Meghan Markle, because she said, her entire family used Sussex these days. Which seems fair. She also wasn't telling anyone to call her the Duchess of Sussex.

She uses the Duchess of Sussex in the credits of her show. That's how she wants to be credited. She is also introduced by that name. She only said Meghan Sussex bc her friend Mindy was recounting a story about her and she said "Meghan Markle." That's how that came up. Meghan said, "No it's Meagan Sussex and you know that."

She did not add "and you know that." Where do you haters come up with this stuff....

I agree it was a totally awkward exchange. But it is substantively different, because your take made her look extra mean.

Awkward as this exchange was, it seems fair. Meghan seemed to want to get the message out that she's done being called by her father's name bc she's married.
