| emesis bags on hand, like a civilized person |
| Wow, I made it to 50 years old without knowing this was a thing. No, we do not use a "throw up" bowl. Toilet, trash can (with plastic liner), or trash bag. |
| Yes |
The popcorn bowl is the big family bowl one fills with popcorn for movie night. |

No. I think it's so weird when people say this. And gross. Like, don't invite me over for dinner if you say shit like this.
Just move a trash can next to the sick person's bed. How effing hard is it. |
| I always hand my kids a bowl just in case but it’s never been used. I wouldn’t care if it was used. That’s what a dishwasher for. |
| No, we use the small bathroom trash bins |
+1. Goes right in the dishwasher after rinsing well. Disinfects everything. |
| I have no problem with puking in a popcorn bowl but emesis bags really are an upgrade, and imo they’re still easier for kids than a bowl. Although when we have a sick kid I do both. |
That seems so, so much harder to clean? |
Medium and large stainless mixing bowls are great for this. |
Put a bag in it! Small trash bag, recycled grocery bag. I get little kids can't make it to the toilet (and hell, when I had the flu I could barely make it to the toilet) but throwing up a bowl you are going to wash to eat out of is gross. |
| Yes! Just sent this thread to my siblings and we all had a good laugh. |
Oh my gosh I’m not alone |
Do you… have children? |
