Bigger is not better, especially in the younger years. It is not a development club. It relies on the constant influx of players around the DMV. This will make it even worse for those who have it as their only choice for home club.

There already isn't enough practice space as it is and zero winter training during the week.

Ha! Yes--lets shove some more teams comprised mostly of players outside the County and cut into practice time/space even more --maybe 7 or 8 teams per age group instead of 6. $$$$$$$$. My kid's team can't even get a full field scrimmage in a practice.

Just shut up and write your check. If your kid hasn't made it to the top of the heap by 10 years old they are just taking up space. In fact, could you just stay home from practices to free up some field space for the elitist of the elite 10-year olds.

Parents are naive if they think there is some "development club" around DMV.

There are small differences at the margins between any of these beltway clubs, but development comes from what you do on your own as PPs spoke about several pages ago.

You may luck out and find a special coach on the right team and the right distance, but other then that pick a home club when your are young and don't worry that Arlington will simply do the same thing as everyone else and make its Red teams the B teams at the older ages.

Girls on the bottom pushed out as these 4th and 5th teams fold and go to another non-DA small wags club where they probably would be served better anyway.

who cares about your little 10yr old's problems in ASA . . . don't pay if you don't like it . . . DA on girls side is for teenagers who made it through age 13, the point at which your player drops out anyway. DA is not your problem.

This, my friends, is what the TDs and coaches really think of the 50 kids per age group that pay their bills.

Would you want to send your young child here?

Hmmm..none of the Arlington boys could make their own DA team. Kind of telling for how well they train. It's going to be no different on the girls side which already doesn't have the top players.

^^^ they wouldn't be coaching your daughter anyway. besides, u could just stay in mclean and play your ECNL until it dies, or clyde retires, whichever comes 1st.

No, I would want to send them to Premier AC where they would develop so much faster. Loudoun, Arlington, McLean, and all the rest do not have a single coach, field, or TD worth a cent. They should be dismantled. Totally agree that these big clubs have duped all of the over-educated MBAs and JDs who should easily be able to find a better option where your DC won't hate everything and anything about soccer.

Depends who is the partner for WS-Virginia DA.

MYS already lost all its boys because it has no fields, and it may start losing its girls to whoever puts up the fields for the WS DA. Not going to be BRYC anymore.
