This is true. I am Facebook friends with one of the daughters and she made a post asking people to respect their privacy and not interact with the media.

I knew Amy, though not well, and I was just thinking that her friends had shown admirable class and restraint and then this woman comes along. She clearly had her hair and makeup done for the interview. Sorry, I'm disgusted.

I know families that have known her for 15+ years - none of them are talking to the media/ posting about this online. They too are disgusted by this woman.

No kidding. Who goes to the media when this kind of thing happens? Ridiculous. She is making herself look terrible.

Has she done anymore interviews? A friend from out of state recently mentioned an interview she has seen and I was wondering if it was the same one. She didn't remember the name of the person being interviewed. I knew Amy well and I don't think she would want her private information given out - even if it was positive.

-----> Where is original post for this commentary? This just landed in a discussion about Jordan Wallace. I am so impressed with friends of Savopolous family. They are been totally appropriate in their silence and forming a shield around those poor girls. My heart goes out to the family and all who know them. May they find peace and feel God's loving arms around them.

Classy on the friends' part, truly. Knowing when to shut it is really a gift, and their friends have done them right, in a stellar fashion, seriously. It takes a certain level of class to achieve that as well as they have. Save the one fame whore who tried to claim her 15 sends, early on. I would bet she is ostracized very quickly, for legitimate reason.

I also agree that Wint was ignorant about not being able to get large sums of money just by going into the bank, or whatever. It does not work that way. In our case, it takes weeks. I actually like that it is set up this way. In fact, everyone I know has their accounts set up this way, and are simply NOT liquid. This is a huge factor in this case. I can not emphasize it enough. If Wint knew that it takes so long to get large sums of money, even he may have reconsidered. Though he is not that bright, it seems.

I knew the family and was approached by a national news show on a major network and did not respond. A good friend of mine was approached by another national media and ignored. Unfortunately two women i know (one knew Amy well - and was interviewed on a major network evening news & the other knew them well but wan't that good friends - and spoke with a weekly magazine. I found it gratuitous. I know Amy was a very private person and never would have spoken to the media if this had happened to her friends.

Could you post links to those two interviews? I'd like to see them. Thanks

It seems like most of the chatter has been saved for DCUM. It is nice to have this outlet because it is anon for everyone but Jeff.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Just looking at photos of Amy on her obituary page...she had such a kind face and seemed understated despite phenomenal wealth. She seemed like someone I'd want to be friends with -- good solid person. So sad.

How do you know someone gave an interview in a national magazine? Did they directly quote them and use their name? I have only seen one interview on TV.

There is a quote from someone who knew the family in People magazine this week.

Is there no new development in this case beyond capturing of Wint?

Search for Accomplices.
Read in another discussion site that his brother is being looked at closer. Possible owner of the box truck/garage on wheels.

It seems like there is no new news about the crime scene and what is being found there. I doubt that means that nothing is happening. Does anyone know for sure whether things are being discovered but not shared? (I hope.) Also were autopsies performed?

I'm getting nervous that the police really don't have much evidence. Wint has no motivation to cooperate; if he admits any involvement at all he will be in prison for the rest of his life. Hopefully the police have something, but if they don't and everybody involved clams up, we might never know the full story.

Was that on Websleuths?

I should think if he was the technician for the amerifleet vehicle, that information would be readily available from Amerifleet.

Some of these investigations take so loooong.

For example, this murder occurred in Takoma Park last summer and the arrests have just been made:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/crime/takoma-park-woman-68-charged-in-murder-of-husband-73/2015/05/29/cd1ba04e-0631-11e5-8bda-c7b4e9a8f7ac_story.html

I think the police have pieces to the puzzle, and they're putting them together right now. My sense is they probably have a lot to work with. The murderer(s) aren't smart or sophisticated enough to cover their tracks.

I actually have confidence they're going to develop a solid case.
