When did people find out about NVA moving to GA? What month? Just hoping if similar moves are being made that we don’t find out after tryout season!

Since GA tryouts are in Feb, it would happen around then I would presume.

NVA "official" announcement was February 24, 2025
McLean was Feb 18. I believe they were the first announced on GA social media.

Alexandria got GA status late last year, after a lot of tryouts finished. Alexandria rolled into GA/ GA Aspire with their current crop of kids without attracting any new kids who wanted to go to a pathway club.

So, clubs could be added late into the Spring this year also.

I’d be surprised if a lot of kids currently on 2nd teams at Arlington don’t explore Alexandria.

Or someone had a heart.

Now that isnt always the case. There is another soccer forum that had a good read on the Carolinas and a certain club that let kids tryout make the team AND then announce the change. Parents have been patiently waiting to break camp as a result. NDAs keep people silent but an email asking for confirmation of the league will be your escape route if a certain club or two take the grimy route.

GA was also very active on social media building hype for the ecnl defectors. So far not so much this year. So maybe nothing changes and you all are safe.

That was a bold move that boxed families in who committed and couldn’t leave because of the timing of the announcement and full rosters.
