Vda weaker. Nva largely ntact minus one impact player and two age downers.
Others negligible

Vda is weaker because NVA 2012 stayed intact?

VDA didn't get any players from NVA at that age group. I think VDA lost a player or two. They may have gain a player or two in fairness, but it wasn't from NVA or any of the other higher leverage players from FVU or Arlington either.

VDA 2012 is a RL team. Wouldn’t even win Virginia ECNL-RL conference. Hardly worth talking about here.

It looks like they got better. They lost 2 starters though. How did that happen? Are they using trapped players?

No trapped players. One of the players was a starter but didn't really accomplish much. The other shared time like everyone else and the drama from the poor kids momager was insane. Clearly other kids have stepped up. VDA doesn't care about the middle school teams any way they're just waiting for tryouts in March when they cut half the kids and rebuild from NVA and SYC.

Build from kids cut from NVA and SYC, oh boy! Guess you gotta do what you gotta do to field a team right?

Team will still be mediocre at best.

None of the local 2012 teams are lighting the world on fire. FVU easily could have lost to VDA, we’ll see what ARL has in the tank when they have to travel to CSA in the spring CSA doesn’t travel well at all apparently. NVA is realizing GA is a waste of money and they’re blowing up and SYC is blowing up too. None of the other local teams are worth mentioning. 2012 is probably the weakest class right now and the best kids are too spread out. ARL dads can talk trash (and get in fights at practice) and VDA parents can polish up their BP shrine all they want. Unless there is a talent consolation, none of these teams are going anywhere any time soon.

Tell us, swami. How are NVA and SYC "blowing up"? Or, is this just know it all talk? Anonymous sources or your opinion don't count as "facts".

SYC is cooked. The Instagram hype doesn’t do anything once you get into high school.

looks like you’ve got SYC notifications turned on. Impressive dedication lol!

Maybe try focusing on your own team instead, SYC is doing just fine. Anyway, happy holidays troll!

What makes you say SYC is doing just fine? Just curious

DP but what insight makes you think they are blowing up? Aren’t 12s top of GA. Hard to tell what any of these teams will look like when the age groups realign for next year.

What’s their record outside of GA?

How’s the coaching? Sounds like FVU is worse and VDA is better this year even with the loss of their best player?

We could ask the same question of other clubs in 2012 in ECNL

Same coach. The best player is still on the team, just way less drama from the families that left, and some kids really improved over the off season. At this age kids are maturing at different times so swings make sense.

This isn’t a GA vs ECNL debate numbskull. Some of the parents were acting like they had the 72 Dolphins over there. They were wrong.

Any word on clubs switching leagues?

It starts happening around Feb because thats when the youngers California leagues restart and all players for the next year are already locked in.

But who knows with the BY to SY changes happening in the fall clubs might not want to mess around with switching leagues at the same time everything else is occurring.

Maybe but it wouldn't make sense to let that out before tryouts are done. You'd potentially lose some and gain others. It would be better to get all the rosters lined up then make an announcement. This way the league chasers can still make a move but everyone elae isnt going anywhere.

I’m surprised people don’t get tired of arguing the same thing over and over and over and over

No updates on clubs switching leagues? You guys were on it last year. You guys have disappointed me. First time checking the site in a couple weeks and nothing.

When did all the nova GA announcements come out last year? Clubs were holding tryouts in Feb, so it had to have been sometime in Jan.

That timeline sounds about right. The GA application closed 12/31 so we should start hearing some rumors and/or updates.
