Sadly if there is no mystery about this unusual case for you, then I am truly sad for you.

Most people are in shock over this & feel a desire to at the very least “attempt” to get an answer WHY?

Because what happened goes against human nature.

This is what I got from the news and watching all those videos she made. She pressured him into participating and put him on the spot in those videos. I mean even with the announcement of her pregnancy which should have been private. It was very uncomfortable watching that because he seemed to be putting on a act, and knew he had to act happy.

He should have spoke up and nipped that bs from the get go telling her the family is off limits. Apparently that was one of the big problems. Another was they were living way above their means. Ok that was a easy out. Sell that home, and go rent something until they paid off their bills. There was nothing so bad that could justify him hating his life that much or her. There were tons of options obviously, and of course divorce.

Curious to see if he get's diagnosed in prison. Psychopath or what...

In his interview he doesn't sound the least bit resentful of participating in the MLM. He said videos weren't his thing but he was glad to support Shanann and her business. As far as the money, he wasn't involved in the finances at all. He claims Shanann was earning as much as he was and they had planned to move friends into their home to pull resources and avoid having to leave their home.

Yeah, none of that seems like the kind of pressure or unhappiness that would lead someone to snap like that. I don't think she had any reason to believe he'd be capable of that. Even if he was unhappy and pressured about finances and social media performances, why not just leave her? Or even if he was enraged enough to kill her, why kill the children? None of that makes sense.

Transcripts said that he wanted her to move from Denver, Colorado to Brighton, Colorado AND cancel a couple's trip to Aspen.

The COL in Brighton is roughly half that of Denver. Apparently Shanann's parents also lived with them for 1.5 years, they were behind on mortgage payments and doctors bills for the girls. They also had wedding debt and he had to sell his four wheeler for less than the value. Plus the HOA suing them.

Sounds like he was drowning. When he met Kessinger - that just tipped him over.

Money is the number one reason a person kills another person. Jealousy/lust is next. Revenge is after that. So yes, deadly serious.

His wanted a do over. He was done with the responsibility of being a husband and father. He wanted out.

I don't pretend to understand how he could have murdered his wife and children like that. But I think it's clear that he wanted to erase that part of his life - just toss it all in the trash, light it on fire and walk away.

In listening to the recently released audio last Thursday, it is so creepy to me how Chris seems like a regular Joe....

It is so easy to think he is just like everyone else.

But then you go to the darkest place ever when you hear him discuss the killings -
Mostly about Bella.
And then your brain comes to its senses + you realize that this seemingly “normal” individual is anything but.

He may appear to resemble one of us.
But he is in a category all his own.

It is easy to comprehend how he fooled so many, for such a long time.
The only ones who are still fooled are his stupid parents.

I listened to the tapes. And, while I agree that he comes off as a regular guy who just sort of lost it and snapped one day I don't believe it.

He claims that they rarely argued, yet neighbors have said that they heard yelling coming from their house. It had gotten to the point where he was rarely sleeping at their home anymore. He had run out of his own assorted stash of gift cards so he used a joint bankcard to pay for an outing with his mistress. Shannan handled their finances and she was going to find out about his affair. He couldn't hide it any longer.

I can not fathom how this man strangled his wife, killing their unborn baby in the process, and then had his two young daughters ride in the backseat of his truck along with their mother's dead body wrapped up in a sheet for 45 minutes to 1 hour. He then killed the youngest girl while his oldest daughter watched. Afterwards, he killed his oldest daughter while she cried "No Daddy!"

This guy is a monster. I get the impression that he is on his best behavior in prison in order to get more privileges. He thinks he can con his way into people letting their guard down around him. They better not.

Apparently in the recently released tapes, the interviewers ask him about some of the random people (men and women) who came forward alleging that they had had sex with Chris Watts. Apparently they were saying it to get attention and were pretty much deemed incredible, garden variety nuts. That doesn't mean that Watts has or has not ever had gay sex but in the interview he insists that he never has.
