Absolutely. My kids have already graduated from college and self-sufficient. I’m extremely proud of them. I would not expect someone to step in to be their step-mother. My kids have a mother already. We get along and communicate regularly. We simply are not married any longer.

I’m mid 40s, female. Fit, size 2. My kids are grown and in college. I don’t need a dad figure for them, they have a dad. I had a husband, don’t need another. We get along well and still do lunches with our kids together sometimes.

I find men my age and older to mostly have serious character flaws. A lot of ‘god-complex’ types. Others lack communication skills. There’s a good reason they’re divorced and don’t want to hear about shitty husbands or lousy parenting. It hits too close to home for them.

I find attractive women in their 50s attractive but I do prefer younger women. They are much harder to get with for sure so I put in the work to find them.

You're making a lot of ridiculous assumptions about divorced women and what they expect of you. Number 2, you think an awful lot of yourself and that's ok. But don't pretend that is an attractive quality to everyone.

But women tell us that once they are divorced they are supper happy, free, and thriving again. They tell us that their Exes are in the rear view mirrors and they do not talk about them at all....

An in shape woman (takes real effort, some weight lifting) with a sex drive is well in demand at any age. I’m mid 50s, in great shape and definitely sexually active w my woman who is close to my age.

The thing about working out/ being in shape… only YOU , can do it. Can’t blame anyone else, pass the buck, it’s up to you and a major character indicator.

My mom used to work in a nursing home. As a woman, I am with the OP that said staying in shape in our 50s is all about discipline. Why wouldn’t you want to feel good about yourself, and healthy! Plus, hard workouts boost endorphins, which means increased horniness.
