Reported: Susan Rice unmasked names caught up in surveillance

That's what Rice did - her job. She examined the intelligence and shared it in a classified setting with other parts of the government so they are aware of the situation - no charges were brought, no attempt to roll back the election results, just situational awareness.

And, there must have been no evidence of collusion--because, had there been, you can be sure the Obama White House would have assured that we know it.

Or, there was tremendous evidence of collusion and the former President and his staff made sure the various investigative and intelligence agencies were on the same page so the facts could be collected, interviews conducted and the matter brought to the appropriate judicial bodies when completed and if warranted.

This was a political decision on her part--just look at the evidence of her lies in the past. Do you really think she believed it was a spontaneous demonstration over a video? That was a lie for political sake. There are other examples at the midterm election that she withheld information for political purposes. And, just look at the elimination of chemical weapons in Syria.

This is the GOP talking point, discredit Rice to no end to ensure that when the facts per the above are released, they are claimed to be "fake news."

I don't like at all that the Russians hacked or released private information--but what was released was partly a result of the arrogance of the DNC and Podesta that they did not realize that NOTHING is private.

And why, prey tell, were the RNC materials that were hacked not released? Why was it that at that time, it was the substance that was praised by the GOP while the fact of the hacked was shouted from the rooftops by the DNC, but now, it is reversed? The GOP cares about the process but seems to be ignoring the underlying issues.

^^^ Rice has discredited herself. No need for the GOP to put any effort behind that.

But they still do. Why? What are they trying to hide?

Exactly. It's like shooting a dead horse. As a PP said, let's get it all in the open. The question is, will the Trumpers believe it or will it be another barrage of fake news and discredting the FBI, the Dems, the Media etc?

So pray tell, why were the RNC materials not released?

Truth: The CIA, under a false flag, hacked the DNC and released the data during the campaign to help Trump and hurt Clinton. Then after Trump was elected, the CIA used their own hack to discredit Trump! And they did it because... um... uhhhhh...

And now we find out that the FISA warrant was for Carter Page, who was part of the trump campaign.
And for those of you wondering...yes Rachel Maddow did go into Carter Page a couple of weeks ago (the fact that he was compromised years ago).

Whenever I see Susan Rice's name I think of how appropriate it would be to nominate her as the poster person for liars.

Comical. I have that Reaction with #45. Although I just automatically assume if his lips are moving he is lying.

Lets call Ambassador Rice to testify and let the chips fall where they may.

CNN (live now) just reported that GOP and Dem are both saying Nunes statements on surveillance were not accurate and Susan Rice's unmaskingappear to be appropriate and normal.

No link yet (it was a live report)

Worth checking out what it takes for a US person to be the subject of a FISA warrant. The government must have a lot of evidence on Carter Page.

https://www.lawfareblog.com/flynn-fisa-and-fara-foreign-principals-and-agents-foreign-powers

A U.S. person can be deemed the agent of a foreign power under FISA if the government shows probable cause that he or she:

(A) knowingly engages in clandestine intelligence gathering activities for or on behalf of a foreign power, which activities involve or may involve a violation of the criminal statutes of the United States;

(B) pursuant to the direction of an intelligence service or network of a foreign power, knowingly engages in any other clandestine intelligence activities for or on behalf of such foreign power, which activities involve or are about to involve a violation of the criminal statutes of the United States;

(C) knowingly engages in sabotage or international terrorism, or activities that are in preparation therefor, for or on behalf of a foreign power;

(D) knowingly enters the United States under a false or fraudulent identity for or on behalf of a foreign power or, while in the United States, knowingly assumes a false or fraudulent identity for or on behalf of a foreign power; or

(E) knowingly aids or abets any person in the conduct of activities described in subparagraph (A), (B), or (C) or knowingly conspires with any person to engage in activities described in subparagraph (A), (B), or (C).

There is nothing comical about her. She is a lying hack. Pathological.

And yes, Trump lies too. Then again, so did Obama. Hillary had her share of lies. Quantify?

Now, financial records newly obtained by The Associated Press confirm that at least $1.2 million in payments listed in the ledger next to Manafort's name were actually received by his consulting firm in the United States. They include payments in 2007 and 2009, providing the first evidence that Manafort's firm received at least some money listed in the so-called Black Ledger.
