He may have looked Hispanic and had a Hispanic surname, but he clearly lived and carried himself as a white man. Including being a gun nutter - which despite what some here are trying to argue against - strongly suggests he was a RWNJ. I suspect his appearance of support for President Biden and BLM and other Progressives causes and organizations was really just a clumsily established cover to make casual observers think he was a Progressive rather than maga trash.

The contortions that progressives are going through right now are quite something to see.

Since 2005, Israel has been repeatedly attacked from Gaza.

I'm all outta GAS for the Palestinians and anyone associated with them.

Federal case given planned, bought a gun, flew it and himself to DC, paced outside an event held by a Jewish peace group, shot and killed people when they exited the event.

FBI busy everywhere.

Exactly . Like I said over and over, violence begets violence.

Before October 7th huge strides had been made toward a better peaceful future. What unfolded that day and since then is just awful beyond words.

Quite true

Alas, most Israelis do not want even a single truck of aid to enter into Gaza and stop the starvation.

Those 2 million plo pawns of Hamas are always starving. Because of Hamas and often because Hamas blocks food distribution for itself or to generate more power and anger within.

Actually, Israel supports and arms gangs to loot and steal food distribution and then targets and kills those who attempt to stop the robberies. Some of those killed by Israel are community volunteers, according to local sources, while many others are police officers and security personnel in the civilian branch of Gaza’s government.

Then they can label these gangs as "Hamas" and justify their blockade.

Death penalty

Now do all the Palestinian children trying to crawl away in agony from underneath the rubble of a building the zionist air force just blew up.

No sympathy at all. None.

You are insane. She had nothing to do with the Palestinian children.

Israel seems unswayed by the fact that Palestinian children had nothing to do with Oct 7.

Many the billion other Muslims in the world can take the poor PLO children as refugees. They’ve had decades to save them from Hamas Terrorist leadership, but just haven’t.

Maybe now is the time!!

Iran! Iraq! Indonesia! Turkey (they’re harboring all the Russians, take the Palestinians!)

Sunnis and Shiites unite!

I feel so badly for the families of these two beautiful young people. This is on Israel for refusing to stop the genocide in Gaza. Such tragedy all around. An eye for an eye never ends well. Turn the other cheek is a better plan. My deepest sympathies for the families. This is a terrible, completely preventable tragedy.

Israeli victims include: 1,400 Palestinians were killed, including some 300 children, and hundreds of other unarmed civilians, including more than 115 women and some 85 men aged over50 during the 22-day Operation "Cast Lead".

To top it off, they used illegal chemical weapons like white phosphorous. Just one of their many "mow the lawn" operations where they killed predominantly civilians.

According to US professor Norman Finkelstein, “mowing the lawn” means:

You go in, and you kill a thousand people, destroy everything in sight … So every few years they have to go into Gaza and mow the lawn.

Mowing the lawn, of course, needs to be done regularly to prevent the grass – that is to say, the Palestinians of Gaza – from flourishing.

Agreed. It's always so tragic when a promising young white male raised evangelical Christian falls so far down the racist alt right pipeline that he moves to an entirely different country just for the sheer opportunity to have a chance of committing war crimes like murdering somebody with a darker skin color than him.

Once they fall into that racist, cult-like mentality of Zionism, it's very hard to bring them back; sadly, some may even encounter the very repercussions of that violent racist ideology. It's just so tragic.

If these comments are sickening just wait until you go into the Gaza starving thread and see many people justify genocide of Palestinian people.

You do know the UN backtracked on their starving babies statement?

You do know that the following organizations havent backtracked and called out Israel for genocide/war crimes?

Médecins du Monde International Network

I think we long ago passed the point where it became clear that radical extremists in the Zionist community and radical extremists in the Muslim communities are simply incapable of coexisting with others.

Am I the only one who is just exhausted and done with the neverending conflict? Done with all of it?

If you can comprehend that the events in Gaza do not justify the fact that the Embassy couple was shot, please take a moment to apply that same logic to why Hamas’ action does not justify killing 50k+ (mainly women and children) in Gaza). US doctors have reported (with facts and figures to back this up) that IdF soldiers target killing kids in Gaza in their heads. Not teens which might be mistaken for Hamas but young kids and even babies. This is NOT justified just as shooting the couple in DC was not either.
