How are such bloodthirsty nuts in our government?

If these comments are sickening just wait until you go into the Gaza starving thread and see many people justify genocide of Palestinian people.

You do know the UN backtracked on their starving babies statement?

He may have looked Hispanic and had a Hispanic surname, but he clearly lived and carried himself as a white man. Including being a gun nutter - which despite what some here are trying to argue against - strongly suggests he was a RWNJ. I suspect his appearance of support for President Biden and BLM and other Progressives causes and organizations was really just a clumsily established cover to make casual observers think he was a Progressive rather than maga trash.

You need to be committed. These are the rantings of an insane person.

It will become a feature of a future website owner’s statement

They didn't backtrack. Israel let in some aid to, and this was explicitly said by Bibi, provide the bare minimum needed to prevent starvation but only because they were about to cross a red line with their allies and supporters.

...Bibi, Smotrich and Ben Gvir are very open, honest and explicit with what they're trying to do. They don't hide it. They're so honest and open about it that in other policy circumstance it would be rightly celebrated as the most transparent government in the world. I don't understand why anyone still pretends that they aren't doing what they tell Israelis that they're doing. Smotrich in particular is exceptionally honest and forthright. Evil but very honest.

It was performative PR stunt. They only let 5 trucks in and of those, 2 of the trucks were full of shrouds to wrap bodies from the genocide.

It’s the Disinformation age. People will just say whatever they want now to fit whatever narrative they want and people will roll with it. There isn’t even a whole lot of details about the crime yet and people are creating narratives about it.

I am starting to think that social media will be the downfall of mankind.

Overexposure to extreme views. The vast majority of people are actually quite moderate and Normal when you speak to them. Go on the internet and you would think everyone was an extremist.

Agree 100%! The "us" vs "them" mentality is a political agenda utilized to create divisiveness and hatred for the other side. A very divided electorate in a two party political system helps to preserve and maintain the power of the entities in control the two parties. Social media and cable news are popular and effective tools of this political agenda

It’s also never been easier to become radicalized because of the internet and social media.

Speaking of people who backtracked, Shmuel Lederman, Israeli expert on genocide studies, changed his mind and called what's going in Gaza a genocide.

"Can I name someone whose work I respect who doesn't consider it genocide?" said one researcher. "No."

So much stupidity in this thread. Y'all reap what you sow. And while I understand the concern for Palestinians, Israel is not to blame. Hamas is, and the Palestinians that refuse to throw out Hamas.

Every anti-Israel post is just a pro Hamas post. Where is the outrage towards Hamas? Where is the pressure to get them to surrender?

I’d hardly say anyone is celebrating it. But a lot of us definitely understand the hurt and suffering that inevitably causes it. You can only push people so far before they push back. This is what push back looks like.

Pushing back on American Jews? For being at an event held by a jewish organization?

Not to mention that Elias Rodriguez had no dog in this fight. He’s just an internet nut job.

+1 a left wing gun nut

Based on the shooter's manifesto which shows clear grievances against the state of Israel, Zionism, and its allies (without any mention of anything related to Jewishness) as well as the victim's profile and social media content, this is very likely a targeted attack.

The victim is a Christian Zionist that not only left this country to commit war crimes in the IDF, but in his social media he advocates and celebrates genocide, ethnic cleaning, and openly cheered the killing of children.

One can only imagine what type of evil acts he likely performed while serving three years in the military in Israel based on his disgusting comments he has openly shared.

Alas, most Israelis do not want even a single truck of aid to enter into Gaza and stop the starvation.

Those 2 million plo pawns of Hamas are always starving. Because of Hamas and often because Hamas blocks food distribution for itself or to generate more power and anger within.
