| Every Republican ad I see is about transgender issues. Sears has even reused trumps campaign slogan! I don’t care about that. I care about our economy, education and public health that are suffering under trump’s takeover. I also care about masked agents abducting people - today’s story about zip tying children is horrendous. Why do the Republicans candidates have nothing to say about the issues that are affecting most of us? |

Because she’s insane and the R establishment (both state and national) really seems not to like her. Imagine how close this race would be if Miyares was running for Gov. while Sears was enjoying a cushy talking head position and gassing him up on Fox News. |

Spanberger is a fairly centrist Democrat so Sears has little substantive to attack her on. So 99% of her campaign is focused on trans issues and suggesting she's more culturally aligned with Virginia voters than Spanberger. It won't work. Bigger fish to fry this year than trans kids in bathrooms and locker rooms. The other Democratic candidates are weak, at least in NoVa. Hashmi is a shill for casino operators and wants a casino in Tysons. No thanks. Jones got a ticket for highly reckless driving (116 MPH on I-64) just a few years ago. Neither is appealing and deserving of higher office. Of course, Reid seems weirder by the day, and Miyares is Trump-y but of the three GOP candidates Miyares is the only one with a decent chance of winning. |

Those are just the cases you hear about. Why? They are understandable to most people. Not much "in between" on this issue. He's gone after Descano for not prosecuting other cases, as well. |

The latest poll has Sears pulling within the margin of error. I wouldn't put much confidence in a Washington Post poll.

What are you talking about? I am talking about wanting state officials to stand up to the abuses of federal immigration agents. They are not following due process.
