Made a thread about the upcoming Governor's race. |
Does anyone think that Winsome Sears will run for governor. I think she is the only Republican that might have a chance at winning in 2025. If any other Republican is the candidate I think it is a guaranteed seat for Spanberger. |
Maybe Terry McAuliffe will give it another shot? |
Haha. I hope not. He has no chance of winning the primaries. |
No. Everyone has cleared the field for Spanberger |
T. McAuliffe could have chances if he doesn’t repeat the mistake of siding with teachers.
|
Yup I thought Stoney was going to run but he’s going for LG instead. |
Wow that is quite the pair. |
Spanberger is a great candidate. Sensible, professional, and moderate. |
Spanberger LARPS as a moderate. She is a former CIA agent and the CIA has destabilized many countries in the past.
I don't trust her at all. I think Virginia runs better off normal conservatism (NOT Trumpism). Sears or Miyares would have my vote. Sears would be the first black woman governor EVER yet Democrats want to pass over her for a pale white lady who carpetbagged to run for Congress in Nova (she lives in the Richmond area). She can't even say the border is bad or that men shouldn't play in women's sports, yet I hear everyone talking about how moderate she is. I am begging someone to tell me when/how she has voted against Democrats on something. What is so moderate about her? |
Remember, its only Dems who play the identity politics card ![]() |
You realize Sears and Miyares are MAGAs, right? They're way more conservative and culture war oriented than Youngkin...but you knew that. |
Ironically, Youngkin larped as a MAGA. All that regressive ideologically garbage to appease the nose-pickers who don't like that thar book-lernin'. He's a Romney Republican. |
ideological* |
Youngkin pissed the bed for any succeeding republican. Came in on a wave of Covid-resentment over schools closing, and is limping out with few accomplishments and the feeling that he never cared much for VA and it was all a platform for higher office.
Anyone thinking Sears has a chance of winning a general election is nuts. |
