My apologies. As a proud patriot and atheist, nothing bothers me more than anti-Constitution fundamentalists who want me to pay for their stupid. And there seem to be a ton of them in the âschool choiceâ world. Your child is entitled to a free and appropriate education, which means if their needs are not being met in a public school, a private placement should be funded. I assume you are talking remedial, and not some sort of gifted program for 2E learners with gilded enrichment opportunities. Of course, there is no federal funding or accountability for any of that anymore. But stripping out money from the public system just hurts everyone who is left behind, which could very well be your kid if they get kicked out of the private placement or the private school raises the price well beyond the voucher, which many do. |

Seriously. Imagine having access to so much information, and yet still being so uninformed. Not even going to debate with those people. They think God made Eve from Adamâs rib and thatâs about the extent of their knowledge of gender or sex. |

Abigail tries to sidestep and talk about schools etc. but we all know which party has presided over the fall of Virginiaâs once highly regarded school districts. The bluer Fairfax got, the worse its schools became and we are watching the same wave of crap wash over Loudoun now. Please everyone. Donât keep voting for this party. Donât reward the carnage they have wrought on our schools by voting in Abigail. |

Who says the FCPS schools are bad? The rabid parents on the FCPS forum? not the most reliable sources. |
|
And after Trump eats one too many Big Macs, uber Catholic Vance is going to step in. Remember the guy who voted against the Right to IVF Act? |

Not the poster you are talking to. Keep your religious shit out of publc school. I have zero tolerance for what you wrote. It is a public school, not "indoctrination" that is exactly what your religion does to a human. Religion, by definition, is indoctrination, you moron. Parents do not deserve a voice; educators are the voice. If you want a religious education for your kid then keep them out of public school. It is no one else's fault but yours that you can not afford private religious education. My taxpayer dollars are never going to a religious education, the Constitution of THE US says so. Now lets get back to Spanberger vs Sears. Sears has zero policies; her own thoughts are to follow Don the con, a two-bit hustler from Flushing. Bathrooms, Jesus Christ, MYOB, stay out of other people's lives. Absolutely the dumbest argument to vote for someone for bathrooms. I'm sure your daddy used the same bathroom as you or your male cousins etc. Again, none of your business what genitals someone has under their clothes, you are sick thinking about a child's genitals day in and day out. Oh, but you are good with old white men investigating a child's genitals to play sports, aren't you sicko? Again the other day another GOP god fearing garbage got arrested for child porn and sexual assault of a child. Spare us your views on bathrooms when your boys are the problem in this country. Again Sears has zero policies besides bathrooms. She brings nothing to the table. |
| Of course the bigots love Sears. |
|
Because the red county/red state schools are doing amazing? No. But the for-profit charter school operators are doing great producing stupider kids for more money. |

Unlike the inane transgender sports âissueâ⌠Trump is a HUGE, real life issue that is affecting millions of Virginians today: -tariffs -jobs -shutdown -healthcare -govât cuts -schools -UVA -immigrant communities -womenâs healthcare Etc. We need strong leadership to protect VA from Trump and whatever his next Big Lie will be. |
|
 +1 |
| They are bringing Obama into campaign in Hampton Roads. |
|
+2 Virginians are going hungry due to the federal shutdown and lose healthcare due to the loss of ACA subsidies, and some morons on this forum just want to talk about transgender athletes. |

I appreciate the apologies. I was referring to remedial, not gifted. The schools Iâve considered for my child are equipped to support students with learning differences and behavioral challenges. Unfortunately, itâs very difficult to obtain private placement without legal help, and thereâs a risk involved in investing money in a lawyer. I feel the public schools are failing many children with special needs. |
| Itâs a shame the DOE is being disbanded. FAPE will become even more unattainable. Private placement makes sense for kids who need it, defunding public schools to subsidize private school for wealthy people does not. |
