Because no one else in their right mind thinks a confused, stumbling and memory-impaired oldie is the best person to confront Trump (himself memory-impaired and confused, but also vindictive and punitive).

This is so easy: Harris is the consensus candidate, she's young, energetic and articulate. She's also a woman with mixed ethnic roots.

I mean, she's the ideal candidate!

Were it not for misogyny and racism... sigh.

Really? If you go to Reddit, where you get a much better sense of poster’s views, it seems to be mainstream dems who want him to stay in the race. They are also really concerned about potential challenges to ballot changes in red states with Trump judges.

Those who want him to drop are idealized leftists who haven’t been burned in an election.

Republicans don’t appt there; harder to fake views because you can see their comment history.

Biden knew Harris wasn’t electable and couldn’t out shine him . He chose someone who made him look good and who is a worse public speaker than he famously is . He is cunning . Don’t underestimate old Joe. He’s a long time political beast. He knew an unremarkable VP would make it impossible for the Dems to force him out . He has the party exactly where he wanted : trapped and stuck with him and no other electable alternative . He was always planning for two terms. He lied in 2020 when he said he wasn’t going to run in 2024 .

When Joe yelled "lying dog-faced pony soldier" at the rando years ago, I knew he had early dementia. That word salad was telling. It's fine other people aren't perceptive, but people who thought he was fine before the debate should do some soul searching about how they missed something so obvious to people like me years earlier.

TBH, I thought that was an amazing insult he hurled at that rando. I still laugh when I read it. It makes me like Joe even more.

DP. Well yes, that tracks. And if Trump had used the same bizarre expression, you’d be screaming in outrage, per usual.

You do realize Biden just called his Secretary of Defense “that black man,” right?

I don’t know who this Tragedeigh spelled name man is, but man is he wrong. The media couldn’t be kinder and gentler to Trump if it tried.

You are delusional. My God.

Why shouldn't Trump do this. He's just as old and delusional and really likes to golf and winter in Florida! He's the ideal retirement candidate.

Stop whatabouting. Just stop.
Trump is no spring chicken but Biden has crossed that line from old to “too old”. He seems feeble and weak. He seems confused.

Trump surviving the assasination attempt has catapulted him to look “strong”. Biden cant compete with that. He can barely walk up steps.

I hate trump with every fiber of my being but Biden has to acknowledge he is winning zero independents with this perception and losing dems who are not enthusiastic and will stay home. NJ is in play for Gods sake. NJ!!

+1 Biden supporters are in full denial, which is going to put Trump in the WH.

This sub strand is like exhibit A of manipulated conversations.

I’m a Biden supporter. I’ll support him if he stays, I’ll support him if he goes. I’ll support Harris if she’s the nominee, I’ll support whoever (though I’d be pissed as hell if they selected a Republican running mate). I’m not deluded. He’s old. I wish he weren’t old because I think he’s still there 80-95% but we need that missing 20-5%.

Oh and Trump is as old as Biden and has more cognitive damage than Biden has, plus Trump is a treasonous rapist who will put Aileen Cannon on the Roberts court as thanks for making sure that Republicans are above the law.

Hakeem Jeffries again says he fully Supports Biden as the nominee.

As long as Biden had him and the congressional black caucus, he won’t step down…

Who are these oblivious people? How can you possibly think Biden can win?!

BOTH moderate dems & republicans were clamoring for a new candidate. If they’ll get one we might actually have a chance of beating Trump. People just want someone new!

No, we're realists! And certainly not extreme left.

AOC and Sanders are supporting Biden because they think they can squeeze concesssions out of him during his second term, or failing that, they think they'll do great as opposition leaders if Trump is President. What they fear most is a center-left Democrat winning the White House and stifling the progressive Left once again.

I seriously cannot understand how you're not seeing that Biden has ZERO chance of winning right now. Harris has a non-nil chance. We have to take it. It's our only hope.

Supporting Biden at this stage mean you're fine with a Trump presidency.

So yes, pardon me, but any "Biden supporter" is either a secret Trump supporter or a delusional moron.

Seriously. Trump has all the tech billionaires and media billionaires behind him.

No, he has a handful of tech billionaires. Biden has a handful of other billionaires.

High interest rates have crushed tech valuations, excluding chip and AI companies. In an era of higher rates, founders are going to look to cut head count and cut taxes to increase profit margin. In other words, instead of riding market growth and having access to cheap financing they must begin looking at more traditional Republican policies (f#ck the workers and cut muh taxes).

David Sacks, Elon, Thiel, etc are looking at their investments which are down from 1Y ago.

It is becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.

If the media had actually be even remotely impartial since the debate, we would not be here, but in a sea of "unnamed sources" which may be the same 2-3 people, the media keeps banging the drum and here we are.

Biden is 3.5 years older, which as that age, is an eternity...because he acts way older.

Did you watch Trump's speech last night? He sounded not only old, but stupid and insane, as always. Biden had a bad debate. Fine. He's still mentally sharper than Trump. And regardless, despite what a couple of people on this thread think, no one wants President Harris.
