It’s totally possible to have some people who have a positive outlook on someone and others who have a negative outlook. Just like some view Trump/Biden.

My 2 cents. I think we can all agree from our own experiences young elementary kids aren’t a very picky group of people and poor judgers of characters. Their opinions shouldn’t be taken heavily. My vantage point is that the teachers/parents don’t like this guy too much, as the new principal hasn’t been able to come close in filling the leadership, communication, and ability of the old beloved principal. Coch left big shoes to fill.

He shouldn’t have driven drunk.

I agree with this. However, he has been present at many events that Coch never attended over the years, such as the Back to School picnic and the orchestra concert. I think he may have been at movie night but not sure. He at least attends the events outside of school/ I never saw Coch at any of those over the last several years or more. He is making the effort and maybe needs time to grow into the role. People have to give him a chance.

Tyson and Reid did Coch dirty. They moved heaven and earth to elevate and defend “Body Magic” Nardos King and Tiffany Narcisse(narcissist). So not trying to downplay Coch’s actions but with the double standards I simply can’t feel as though if Coch were black he would still be principal.

What a weird take. Coch committed a crime. King and Narcisse did not.

Public urination and pooping in San Francisco isn’t a crime: Insider Trading by Congress isn’t a crime: just because there aren’t any formal laws against a certain action doesn’t make them any less immoral or repugnant in the vast majority of eyes. Directing your students to sponsor and buy some sex themed product your daughter is selling and taking the chance of elevating yourself publicly when one of your students dies all are very unprofessional and wrong. Just as Coch’s actions. If the embezzlement and conflict of interest laws were just a little more broad Nardos King would by your book be a criminal.

So why am I constantly hearing that he’s awful?

I'll tell you why. It's because there was a group of parents who were very buddy-buddy with the old principal and they don't like change because they had an established rapport with him that they now have to completely rebuild with the new principal. People don't like change.

Has anyone been able to build a rapport with the new principal? He’s hard to connect with.

Haven’t been impressed with the guy at all yet. Downgrade from Coch. Though he still only has completed 4 months on the job. We will see at the end of the year.

Again, he's there for the kids, not you.

No one cares about how impressed you are or aren't.

Rude and dumb take. Well FCPS should care what parents like me think because we are taxpayers that pay for their salaries….. people should care in general for those who are consumers of their goods…:

As Navy parent, I am interest in what other parents feel.

I have no interaction with current prinicipal, but I did like Coch.

I can give current prinicpal for some improvement in the drop off line, but it is still slowness.
