What is wrong with you? Many of the best principals in FCPS are serving their first stints as principal of a school.

May surprise you, but many peple want stability at the Navy school. Many people happy with AAP arrangements.

Concern that new principle will break existing structure. This behind desire for Mr. Coch returning.

Too early to judge new man, but hoping school experience do not changed. Do not want to move to other area for similiar education experience.

Guess what. AAP kids aren’t the only students at Navy. What AAP parents want isn’t more important than what Gen Ed parents want for their kids. Maybe some changes would be good for the school, even if you don’t like them. This isn’t a private school. If you want a certain experience to be guaranteed, go pay for it.

This is such a typical AAP response. Sorry, tiger mom, FCPS is moving away from the intense AAP experience that Navy kids have had toward a more inclusive, collaborative environment. If you don't like that, then you need to consider private school. I hear Nysmith is a good option for advanced children.

+100. Imagine what a more congenial atmosphere there would be with fewer posters like PP.

Really? Name one. You sound unhinged.

Yes. Look at the schools the new principal came from.

It’s just an opinion. Obviously you don’t agree but that doesn’t mean anything is “wrong” with me. You’re overly aggressive for no reason.

What does that supposed to mean? There is a lot of coded racism in these remarks and it’s disgusting. As a Navy parent, I’m excited about his appointment and I welcome any changes towards a more collaborative, nurturing environment at our school.

Missing some conjunctions here, obviously those big AAP brains must run in the family....I agree with PP, go send your gifted, genius kids to Nysmith and do us all a favor!

Every post on threads about Navy make it seem like an awful school community. Good luck to the new principal!

Omg. You are reading way too much into it. All PP was saying is be prepared for a lot of change. The school the new principal came from is vastly different from Navy. No more loose goosey like the previous principal I bet.

I do too but that would require getting rid of some of the teachers that have been there a while and that won’t happen this year. Maybe next if they decide to leave.
