Navy Elementary New Principal

Now that the old principal is out, any updates on the search for a new one? The former Navy thread was locked for some reason.

In order to know what was going on, you’d have to be one of the 2-3 teachers or parents on the interview panel. If you are one of those people, you’d be clearly told that you are not to discuss with anyone. Once the interview is are done, the candidate selected has to meet with the region Asst super intent followed by Reid. Finally it has to be approved by the Board. Each member has 48 hours to respond.

Beyond that, no one knows. When there is a new principal, it will be shared with the school community with an in-person introduction.

Anyone know if there is summer school at Navy or it is some other summer program? I drove by this morning and the parking lot was packed and a dozen buses in the loop dropping off kids.

Yes there are summer programs there currently.

It's the ESY site this year for Special Education.

Mr. Meier was in his retirement while asked to help out at Navy ES. He’s left and probably won’t come back again.
